The Big Hand Massage

Dan is the best! It's hard to describe in words what the experience is like getting a massage from Dan. He's trained in several different modalities, ranging from various East Asian modalities, Esalen and elements of deeper fascial manipulation/ROLFing. If you are looking for a cookie cutter massage, Dan is not for you. I liken his bodywork to the massage equivalent of jazz. Using his gift and skill for sensing tension in the body, he tailors the session based on how you are at that time. Dan artfully blends various modalities to create a one of a kind experience. This is all accompanied by awesome music played on an amazing sound system. I started seeing Dan 8 years ago, several months after I started a regular weight training routine. His body work has become an essential part of my journey to improve the form and function of my body. I now view my monthly sessions with him as an opportunity to learn more about my body and the areas that are holding tension that I wasn't even aware of. He has an incredibly positive energy and kind soul. If you're looking for a one of a kind of massage to help you heal your body and your mind, get in touch with Dan.

Every session with Dan feels like a gift. The moment I step into his space, I can feel my stress start to melt away—the atmosphere is so calming and peaceful. What makes Dan special is the way he weaves multiple physical and spiritual modalities into a massage that elevates it to a deeply intuitive, tailored, and healing experience. I’ve had many massages over the years, but none have left me feeling so renewed, grounded, and supported. This isn’t just a massage—it’s a true holistic experience. I’m so grateful to have found someone who brings this level of care, presence, and skill. Without a doubt, Dan provides the most healing massage in the Bay.

Dan provides the most deeply effective massage I’ve ever had. As a competitive marathon swimmer training 5-7 days/week I ask a lot of my body, and in Dan I’ve found a expert to help me work through the soreness that others cannot. He is also kind, handsome, and has great taste in music! The challenge can be getting on his calendar, so be sure to schedule early and often. 😉

Dan is a healer. Full stop. From my first appointment with him over a year ago to today, I have felt 100% comfortable, and trusted that he will be through, careful, committed, respectful, and focused Treatments are never monotonous, never "checking the box." Dan’s energy is as powerful as his physical skills. I always walk out feeling more than better; I am literally improved. I know this kind of language sounds sort of silly for a massage therapist, but I just didn’t know it could be this GOOD. (And his music is always on POINT! 😃😃😃 )

Dan is my favorite body worker. The highest quality massage I've ever had. He finds all the spots that are knotted and smooths them out. I'm tall. I appreciate he is too and can stretch the length of me out. Excellent Massuer!

Dan is an incredible body worker. He has a very intuitive understanding of what the body needs and how to help. He has a very gentle style but also strong and effective. Plus he always is playing great music and the space if very comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Dan provides artfully attuned and tension-relieving bodywork. Monthly massages from him have become an integral part of my self-care regimen. Hand-picked tunes, soothing environment, and a caring touch-- Dan is a master of his craft!
