I slipped into Imperial Foot Massage on Jackson Street—one of those Chinatown gems where humming traffic mixes with soft music and muted gossip. My 60‑minute full‑body massage started with expert elbow work on my tight shoulders, then migrated south to feet that practically sighed with relief. The space: basic recliners under warm lights, clean, calm—no candles, no pretension. My therapist, who introduced himself as "Andy-ish," chatted quietly—not awkward, just enough to remind me this is Seattle, not some pump‑and‑dump spa. Deep pressure that hit every knot without leaving me tender the next day. For about $55, parking in the Pacific Rim Center garage is free for two hours—and the service beats any bougie spa downtown. It’s weirdly perfect: rough‑around‑the‑edges Seattle charm that actually works.
I went in with an open mind given the hit or miss reviews and the prices, yet my shoulders and back were getting desperate for a deep tissue massage. Their menu offerings are all foot reflexology, however, I signaled to the non-English speaking guy at the desk that I wanted an hour back massage. He typed $68/hr in his calculator and I agreed. I was walked to a small, dark, curtained, private room where an older gal met me. I thought that all of this was a good sign. While the massage started off decent, I tried to ask multiple times for deeper or harder pressure. It continued to not improve so I took out my phone and translated. She acted confused and got the man at the front desk who called someone I’m guessing was the owner. I explained that I wanted a deep tissue massage and she was giving a light, Swedish massage. Then some yelling and indistinguishable communication was had. A male masseur then came in who had large and calluses hands, but yet again, the massage was too light. I kept trying to verbally cue him in to know when it was too light or just right. Maybe I shouldn’t complain given that it was a $68 massage, however, I tipped in cash a $20 bill on top of the cost. I left unhappy and probably less relaxed than when I walked in. I definitely won’t be back and will continue going to Relaxing Station regardless of its distance. One additional stat for the effort.
Best foot massage I've ever had. Also, the funniest. I got tossed around like a rag doll. Found myself laughing throughout. The butt massage was participating entertaining. Ask for Andy!
Best place to get food massage. Reasonable price. Good friendly service. Convenient location
Don’t expect high end amenities, but for the price and the great massage, I think it’s worth it. They were able to accomodate our big group of 8 people same day with no problem (just call in advance to let them know). We all left feeling relaxed. If we’re in Seattle, we’ll go again 🙂
Feeling so good after my massage! ~$55 for an hour full-body massage. Absolutely wonderful. Didn't have to say much, the man knew exactly what areas to work on after a few minutes of assessment. He applied good pressure, sometimes using his elbows too. 100% coming back again. I tipped ~$25 myself. Didn't feel pressure to do so. I just really enjoyed the experience.
Excellent massage for a great deal. The massage therapists here really know their skill and give great deep tissue massages on top of the usual foot massage. I try to call ahead and tip them generously for their service.
