Love this place. We definitely felt underdressed though. Ethan was an amazing waiter and I appreciated the bar tender Zack’s drinks. Try the Blueberry martini, Black Magic Martini, Pear martini, Dreamsickle, or dirty martini. Yes, we tried them all. Our guys loved the old fashions and Ghosted by Alex. Food: we had really good appetizers: crab toast and fig poccatia (sp) flat bread.
Can’t say enough about how awesome this place was. We couldn’t believe it’s been in business for 2 years and we didn’t know! Go check it out, if you have an old soul, live good music and delightful food, this is it. Dress up, make it a date night. The food and service are amazing and the ambiance is like nothing in Montgomery. We have the bar Buns, the flatbread, and the ribeye. All were perfect. Hard to find good entertainment and good food around here at night. The drinks are amazing, ask for Marcus!!
We really enjoyed this spot. The atmosphere was fantastic— Angelucho was playing in the background, and the vibe was just right. We barely got in since we didn’t make a reservation, so I’d definitely recommend booking ahead, but they still managed to accommodate us pretty quickly, which we appreciated. The food was amazing, and there was even a little space to dance if you wanted to. It wasn’t loud or overwhelming either, so we were actually able to have a real conversation without shouting. And the speakeasy-style entrance with the bookshelf door? Very cool touch. We’ll definitely be back.
We reserved a table for 6 at $100 per head for NYE. This included the passes appetizers. Our first time, the theme was Great Gatsby. It was fun dressing up. The passed appetizers were excellent! The shrimp, lollipop lamb chops, everything was top notch. The quartet was especially good, people danced. I was disappointed with one thing. Our of our 6 top, 2 of us don't drink alcohol. I called twice prior to confirm some details and was told there would be mocktails. Unfortunately there were not. Instead of feeling like a part of the party with a nice cocktail glass and a special mocktail I ended up requesting a martini glass instead of the pilsner style glass with a straw I was first served. A little bit of festivity would have been nice. It may sound silly, but if you spend a good amount of money, purchase the attire, and was told there would be options, it was definitely a let down when you feel 2nd class. I asked our waitress twice and was told, "just tell me what you want" I was looking for a bartender "mixologist" to have curated some special drinks for a special occasion.
We went to Social Bar for the first time and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was amazing — vibrant but still relaxing. The drinks were great, and our waiter Marcus was super attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. On top of that, we came on a night when Steven Phillip was playing the saxophone, and let me tell you — it was phenomenal! We didn’t get to try the food since we had already eaten before coming, but we’re definitely trying it next time. Overall, such a great experience!
We went on a Tuesday night for the ribeye steak special. The steaks are charred well and we added the mushroom topping which was delicious. Had excellent service from Ethan. This is a great place for a date night where you can actually enjoy conversation over low volume music. Go here and support a local restaurant!
Our first visit was a drop in for cocktail. Drinks were perfect and service was top shelf. They were having Salsa Dancing, which would have been fun. The speakeasy atmosphere was spot on. We will be back! Mickey was a delight & very helpful. If there was a negative it would be the parking. Not everyone drives a compact car.
