My first time at a true country line dancing bar. I was visiting Kansas for a work event and the local staff at the hotel I was staying in, highly recommended this place. What more can you ask for? Good affordable drinks, music, and good dancing! I wish I came earlier to learn some of the moves. But now I know what to expect when I come back here and bring my dancing boots

I’ve been to other line dance bars and this one is good. Good mix of country line dance, country swing, and country cha-cha songs. Also a good mix of classic and new country songs. Very safe place. Good culture.

This is the location that first got me into country line dancing, and it still holds a special place in my heart, but I cannot in good faith give Guitars and Cadillacs a better review when there are other locations in the Greater Kansas City area that offer a better experience at a fraction of the price. I stopped going to GnC about a year and a half back in favor of MO Country for its larger dance floor, better amenities, cheaper drinks, and free water (which is a huge plus if you want to stay hydrated while dancing for multiple hours). A couple of my friends invited me back to GnC last week, and I was hopeful they had made some changes, but I was greeted by the exact same issues that turned me away originally. The renovations they had made to the dance floor were nice, but that's where the changes stop. I was going to order a drink, but when the bartender told me a Tank 7 would run me $8, I decided to go without. Likewise, if I had wanted a water, it would have been multiple dollars, and the bartenders informed it is company policy that they do not give out tap water to patrons. The men's restroom is also worse for wear, and many of the stall door's locks do not function. I had a pleasant time dancing for a couple hours, but I do not think I will be coming back again. Until GnC improves its offerings, I would strongly recommend making the journey out to MO Country - it's well worth the drive. To the owners of this establishment, if you're reading this review, I urge you to begin offering free water to your patrons like other dancing establishments. Dehydration is a serious concern for dancers, particularly in a hot, crowded room and ESPECIALLY if you're consuming alcohol as well. If Guitars and Cadillacs was willing to make this change, I would be more than happy to return. For now, I'll be inviting my friends out to MO Country.

The floor is kinda small and filled with a younger crowd that doesn’t do dances correctly. And the dj on Wednesday sucks so don’t bother asking for requests. She’ll just tell you "I don’t even look at those". I heard from a few regulars the music is like that every Wednesday and to try a weekend night so maybe there’s better luck there. But the drink specials aren’t bad and the patrons are nice for the most part so that earns a few stars.

I absolutely adore this place. It’s given me an amazing place to go to learn how to line dance and swing. I’ve found such a great family in all of the regulars and love how amazing the atmosphere is. I love the bartenders and the security team, they’re attentive and welcoming and truly awesome at their jobs. This place is my home away from home and I’m so happy that I found this bar and all the people in it. Thank you Guitars for creating a safe, fun place to dance and have fun. ❤️

I adore this place! I’ve been coming here 2-4 times a week for about two years now. I even moved so that I could be closer! The staff is incredible, I have always felt safe and cared for. The security team can handle anything, and they do so with such wisdom. David the manager is so intentional, I constantly see him talking with people in the crowd and not just ‘going about his business’. The staff and people who attend are so welcoming to dancers of all kinds, learning and advanced, for both swing and line dancing. All the staff have created such a wonderful environment. I love the way all the staff honors those who come and also take time to honor the hard workers of the United States consistently. THANK YOU for working so hard to create such a wonderful place! I’m thrilled to call Guitars and Cadillacs my home bar.

I grew up at the one in Westport, we had so much fun back in the 80s. OP has changed a bit but it has the same vibe. Casi Jo that night was a hoot as always.
