Very welcoming and kind people.

This is a lovely church with the warmest, most welcoming and accepting people. I noticed several one-star reviews posted a month ago. Their comments are untrue and undeserved. They happen to have been made around the time the church was fire-bombed. Maybe the FBI should have a talk with those folks.

We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all people. This congregation is a warm and welcoming place to all, no matter your creed or faith expression. If you are looking to be comforted, if you are looking for a weekly reset and refresh, if you are looking to garden and join a book club, if you are looking for peace and presence and community, CUUC is the church for you.

A beautiful and welcoming church. The congregants are warm, polite, and family oriented people. If he were alive, Jesus Christ would prefer to worship here then any hateful Christian church.

I just recently found out about Universal Unitarianism and it’s been such a blessing. There’s many churches to say "come as you are" but really mean "come as you are, so we can impose our views/beliefs/biases on you." Here, it is completely different. It’s a 100% judge free zone. A safe space to find community, love and fellowship. I’ve grown up in the evangelical church where most of the teaching were rooted in fear-based theology. I’ve found myself constantly comparing my faith with others feeling ‘less than’ or like I wasn’t a ‘true Christian’ because I had questions that couldn’t be satisfied. It was exhausting. Since finding Unitarianism, I’ve found such spiritual healing.

So welcoming. This was my first Unitarian experience and the service was a speech given by an immigration attorney which was powerful and interesting. I sort of liked it better than regular worship gatherings because it was almost like a class on humanity. Thanks for that, ya'll. I'm sure well make it back up there sometime soon.
