THEY'VE GOTTEN MEAN IN THEIR OLD AGE Crude, cliquey, corroded, Its the bartenders. The only issue is the service, which in turn affects the entire experience. Keep in mind The service is supposed to be an outward extended hand to suggest you're invited to their place. And it does affect your experience. The best thing to do, it's to come in groups on event nights so that someone can vouch for you, otherwise, don't go by yourself. How they treat you depends on their feelings, and there's some cases with the bartenders how their personal life is doing, they don't have the ability to separate their feelings and what's going on outside from their job environment from what's going on inside. They also like bullying so there's that. Best believe I've been here enough times to know that the experience is based on how the people who work thereare feeling and if they decide to be rude or disrespectful they will try to single you out. Because the Broken dreams and aspirations That some of them have blended to the goth and macabre environment it's not always noticed. However there are signs. They have one good chief who's a down to earth? God, but it's hard to consider eating food at a place where they disrespect you to redeem their trauma points. It not my fault their face and life have the texture of experied sugar cookies service is bad
Busy night, only one bartender and it was hard to keep everyone served but she did a good job. Didn't love the beer selections but they had 1 sour I like. Like that the band area is close to the audience ie: no barricades keeping us xft. away Overall cool place and I'll be going back. Didn't eat there but food smelled good!
2000s indie dance night! Hot Chip, Phoenix, the Rapture all the greats, and only 10 dollars!! Until 11pm then they switched up to normal modern stuff. Are those songs fine? Yes. As advertised? No.
I came here to leave a glowing review for Fallout after an incredible night—and was shocked to see so many negative ones! Not here to discredit anyone’s experience, but it does make me wonder if some of those folks just weren’t… "safe" people (if you know, you know). I visited as a non-member for the Emo MCR Night after hearing about Fallout from my tattoo artist, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the energy was welcoming and affirming. The folks at the door were kind and professional, the bartender was fantastic, and the entire vibe was just immaculate. I didn’t try the food, so can’t speak to that—but the drinks? Chef’s kiss. I tried one of their signature cocktails, "Cat Piss" (yes, really), and it was dangerously good—couldn’t taste the alcohol at all. Also didn’t find drink prices to be unreasonable at all. Because the space is so clearly curated to be queer- and neurodivergent-friendly, I ended up making SO many new friends just by being there. I felt safe, included, and able to just be without judgment. Honestly, that’s priceless. If you’re looking for a nightclub where authenticity is celebrated and the alternative community is embraced, you need to check this place out. I’m already looking forward to the next chance I get to come back.
Any time I get the opportunity to come to Fallout, I'm there. Old-school goth night, Metal Beat, Fresh From the Crypt, a variety of live music from artists new and old that I love...I've been making the 80-mile trip for a couple years now and I will continue to. They have been gracious enough to let me guest spin a night before, and I am so appreciative of it. Jackie and the crew are genuinely so caring and are a staple of the Mid-Atlantic alternative circles. We are so lucky to have Fallout as distant city neighbors. Support this space!! (Btw food and drinks are always amazing. YUMMM.) I 🖤 Fallout forever and ever!!!
Being from out of town, i haven't felt this welcome in a long time. The Atmosphere was amazing, staff was beyond welcoming! Thank you Fallout for making my trip to Richmond amazing!
Dive bar quality. Couldn’t make a simple 7&7 or a B52, did make rum and coke’s just fine. The DJ was good all night. I was here for the New Year’s party.
