Solid location for Old Town Alexandria. This was my second stay at this location. My room had an HVAC issue, which they resolved by moving my to another room. Very walkable and the location along the Patomic makes for great views. At at the related Cafe for breakfast and dinner. Food and service was also solid. Will stay again.
We love Alexandria and we checked into the hotel in late afternoon. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and gave us a room upgrade to a corner room with a great view of the river. Though I do not believe the hotel to be crowded, this was a very nice surprise. The room was clean and comfortable and offered a great restful sleep after a long day of touring the city. We had drinks and appetizers at the bar and the bartender, a vivacious young lady from Mississippi was friendly and fun. A very nice stay overall.
I had an excellent stay at Hotel Indigo in Alexandria, VA. The property is clean, stylish, and perfectly located right by the waterfront and Old Town’s shops and restaurants. My room was spotless and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.||A special shout-out to Stephon at the front desk — he was outstanding. From the moment I arrived, Stephon was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. He made check-in smooth, answered every question with a smile, and genuinely elevated the whole experience. Having someone that attentive on the front line really sets this hotel apart.||I’ll absolutely be staying here again. Highly recommend!
Wife and I did a staycation to celebrate our anniversary. We got the top floor most expensive room option. Staff was great. The room… not so much. All of the curtains were broken. They used duct tape to cover holes that were popped in the wall. The toilet broke. Even the hot sauce the restaurant serves is expired. The "$40 breakfast" is just a $40 credit to use at the restaurant which is dumb, why not just have people spend the money there instead of pretending like that fee includes breakfast. Definitely not worth the $500 total price tag per night. There are better options elsewhere in old town.
Really enjoyed how walkable, clean and safe the area is. The hotel staff were also very welcoming, professional and responsive. I did not enjoy paying the daily fee that is tacked on to the overall cost but it would not prohibit me from staying here in the future.
I stayed here as an IHG Diamond Elite and Ambassador member, and the service quality was disappointing.||Even a simple 30-minute late checkout (11:30am) was refused, despite staff seeing me starting breakfast around 10:30 due to jet lag. For a non-resort property, the rigidity was surprising.||A straightforward billing correction took three days, several phone calls, and multiple emails. Breakfast should have been complimentary, and the market purchase should have been offset by the amenity credit, but no one seemed able to resolve this in a timely way.||IHG hotels are usually much more flexible and professional with elite members, but this property felt understaffed and unresponsive.||Excellent location, but I would not choose this hotel again.
This place is terrible for the money. There is mold in the bathrooms and the sheets were dirty. Also they insist on forcing every patron to pay a $25 A NIGHT "amenities fee"...what amenities are they talking about? the tiny work out closet? the nonexistent poor? When I asked they had a hard time justifying the fee and said it was for the filtered water machines they put in by the ice machines. I can buy a gallon of water up the street for 98 cents so that did not fly with me. They furthermore try to bamboozle you by "so kindly and selflessly" letting you spend the equivalent of $15 on their insanely over priced little store (ie. $4 Powerade). It is kind of a gross place but the fee is insult to injury. I will say the location can't really be beat tho.
