Stayed 2-4-26 in rm 421. $97. Decently cheap especially for a Candlewood. Reviews say it’s an older hotel and parts of it you can tell. From the reviews, there was hesitation coming here but honestly I’ve stayed on the other side of town and it’s not much better and you get a little less quality in hotels. The major + was there was no car theft. And there’s a few reviews on this. The room itself was clean, no bugs and quiet. WiFi worked well. AC worked well. Good large, soft pillows and good blanket. Firm mattress. Small tv. It was a good stay.

**Review for Candlewood Suites, Amarillo, Texas** I had an extremely disappointing stay at Candlewood Suites in Amarillo. Firstly, they ran out of bottled water for guests—seriously? How basic is that? The chair in my room was absolutely filthy, and the paint patches on the walls were a horrendous mismatch; it looked like they did a half-hearted job of trying to hide damage. To top it all off, after taking a shower, I was left standing in 5 inches of water because the tub wouldn’t drain and no stopper for the sink. Absolutely unacceptable! The front desk staff were unfriendly, especially for a Diamond member like me. You’d expect better treatment, but I felt completely ignored. To make matters worse, I was unable to use any of my accumulated points for a free night, which would have been a much better option than paying for this awful experience. What’s the point of having rewards if you can’t use them? I am now left feeling frustrated and disappointed, and I would like my payment credited back to me. It’s only fair, considering the poor service and conditions I experienced. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

So disappointed. The last time we were in Amarillo, we stayed at the sister hotel - the Staybridge and everything was great. ||This time:|Room had a "closed-up" smell. |The adjustable chair wouldn't stay up. |The table was so wobbly was afraid it would collapse. |Faux leather chair had a lot of the fabric missing. |A |Previous guest put a 3-4in hole in the wall. It was patched but not no one bothered to paint it so it was bright white area against the brown wall. |No electric outlet on right side of bed.|Low water pressure in the shower. |Shower curtain rod installed too high - curtain wouldn't stay inside the tub. |Heard doors slamming and dog barking. |Just about asleep and heard someone screaming. |We stayed 2 nights. On the first morning, room service walked into the room and asked if we were leaving. |Called front desk asking for distilled water. Was told there was some in the Cupboard Room. There was none, only purified water. |Wanted dairy for coffee creamer. They had just 1% milk pint and only one of those. ||Very disappointed. Won't happen again.

We have stayed at this location several times. Staff is always friendly. Rooms are large. Rooms desperately need an update. Please update this hotel because we would like coming here! Bathroom needs some maintenance as the faucet was falling off and the corners of the shower we're rusty. The beds very clean and so was the rest of the room. The cleaning crew did a good job preparing the room. The room is very big larger than your average hotel stay. The staff I was always smiling and happy. Very friendly and this makes our stay even better.

Everything from the receptionist to the room was excellent. Room was very large, clean and comfortable. Bed was one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept on.

It had a refrigerator refrigerator in it a kitchen sink kind of place cabinets with toaster Etc in it and a shower and it also had a stove. This would be a good place to stay if you're going to stay in one location for several days and eat some meals and make some in your room

I truly wish I could leave zero stars. My stay at Candlewood Suites in Amarillo was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve ever had. The entire property was filthy—from the floors and walls to the beds and elevator, nothing felt clean. The room we were first given hadn’t even been serviced. The bed was stripped, the trash was full, and it was clear no effort had been made to prepare it. After complaining, we were moved to a second room, which was only slightly better, but still far from acceptable. We had to change our own sheets because they clearly hadn’t been replaced. We had to get our own cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom and counters. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being labeled non-smoking. And if you’re expecting amenities—don’t. There was no coffee machine (it was broken), no breakfast, no pool, and certainly no sense of hospitality. To make matters worse, there was loitering outside the front entrance, which made the place feel unsafe and uncomfortable, even if technically beyond the hotel’s control. I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, and this was hands-down the most disgusting and unprofessional of them all. Candlewood Suites needs a complete overhaul, from cleanliness to customer service. Until then, I would strongly urge anyone to stay elsewhere.
