Amherst Inn

The Amherst Inn is a quintessential New England inn located just a short walk away from downtown Amherst and right across the street from the Emily Dickinson Museum. We stayed over a wintery weekend and we were throughly impressed by the place! The owners (and the resident pup) are lovely and warm. The decor is incredible and each room is tastefully designed. We stayed in the Cyrus room. The included breakfast was delicious. A truly wonderful little place for a romantic getaway.

Came down to Amherst for a show at the Drake.....Glad I decided to stay at the Inn. Location was just a 5 minute walk to downtown... The room was very nice & the bed was so comfortable - Slept like a log. Breakfast was really good too. Owners were very great & Stubby the dog was a very good host.... Will stay again when I am in the area....

We recently booked two nights for some shopping and dining in both Amherst and Northampton, and couldn’t have been happier. The house is spotless and quiet. The food was fresh and delicious with all ingredients locally sourced. Amherst center is an easy 5 minute walk, great restaurant choices nearby. The owners were born to do this. They are a genuine, honest and caring couple. Don’t get me started on Stubbie, the dog, you’ll just have to go see for yourself. We will be back soon!

The Amherst Inn was everything as advertised and more. The owners keep a clean and safe environment and you feel like you are staying with friends. Amazing breakfast cooked with locally sourced ingredients. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless. Great location with several restaurants within a five minute walk. This was our first time but won’t be our last. We miss Stubbie the dog already. Thank you for making us feel right at home in your beautiful Inn.

We just had the most delightful time in Amherst including our stay at the Amherst Inn. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We arrive VERY late and they set us up to have keys and a room and complete our check-in the next morning at a rational hour - such a relief not to add another hour to our already late arrival. Breakfast was perfect - well made with good ingredients. The rooms were well cared for. We took one night to walk into Amherst and discover a hidden speakeasy and the next night, we appreciated the use of the living room for later evening card games and a bottle of wine, serviced by a well-stocked butler’s pantry. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The house is beautiful, true to the Victorian style in every detail, and the location is wonderful, an easy walk to neighboring sights, restaurants and campus. The hosts are warm, and carefully attend to every detail. Breakfast was delicious. We look forward to our future visits.

We absolutely loved this exquisite historic building. Wonderful experience! The owners are warm & welcoming (and their little senior dog Stubby is very cute 🐶) We highly recommend it if you find yourself in the area. Will be back! |The Blanchets...
