Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor

Our family had a wonderful 2-night stay here. Eric at the front desk was so helpful and kind on a busy check-in day. The location was perfect to visit UMich and we were so close to all kinds of food options. With a family of 5, it was great to be able to book one hotel room that had 2 queens and an additional small room with a sofa bed. Maelin and Goetz products in the bathroom were also a nice surprise.

Just super! The decoration of the room and the common areas were fantastic. Nothing more to add.

The room and location are lovely, and the front desk staff are warm. Unfortunately, the lost and found experience left a lot to be desired. We changed rooms mid-stay and I accidentally left my personal pillow behind. Over the next two days I had to return to the front desk five or six separate times — no one ever followed up with me once. Each time I was met with vague assurances that it was "difficult to reach housekeeping," which is a strange thing to hear at a hotel. A pillow doesn't walk out the door. It was in a room that your staff cleaned and turned over. The fact that it took that much persistence just to locate a large, obvious item was strange. On checkout, I also left behind a pair of silver hoop earrings. I called the hotel immediately, while still en route to the airport, and was directed to submit a ticket through a third-party website (IleftMyStuff.com). I did this right away. That was several weeks ago, and I have received no response whatsoever. It's a shame, because everything else about the stay was genuinely good.

The Graduate Ann Arbor is an older historic building with charm. No it's not a 5 star hotel, but it's not just a 4 star either. It is a limited service hotel with valet, luggage service, on site restaurant, gym, and nice public areas. It does not have room service nor a spa or pool. Valet parking and private parking garages are available. This is a must as parking is at a premium in Ann Arbor. Rooms are renovated and the theme of the decor is nice, historic, and a little whimsical featuring old University of Michigan nostalgia. My daughter and I stayed in one of the queen bed suites which had two queen beds and a small extra room with couch and additional TV. The room was clean. Bathroom was on the smaller side, but to be expected given the historic building. Overall satisfactory although some wear and tare was observed on the wall in the bonus sitting room. Front desk, valet, and restaurant staff was pleasant and engaging going a little above the mark for service. Front desk was accommodating of some requests and I genuinely got the impression they cared that my stay was worry free and enjoyable. It was an enjoyable stay and I would stay there again. Just keep in mind the rooms are a little smaller, parking is at a premium, and getting a slightly larger room such as the queen suite may be necessary if you need more space to unwind.

The location of this Graduate by Hilton property in Ann Arbor can’t be beat. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I always love the decor at Graduate hotels. The rooms could use more adequate lighting however, which would be my only feedback. Otherwise, I always enjoy staying at Graduate Hotels

We will be back! Ben & Gary were amazing & very knowledgeable. I asked a lot about Ann Arbor & outdoor activities. We felt very welcome & loved the coffee shop. Also the valet attendants kept me company while I drank coffee & chatted about Florida & the weather in Michigan. It was like talking with my own kids. 10/10

All in all, it is a comfortable enough place in the location is fantastic. Parking is a nightmare unless you use valet at $40 a night. The rooms don’t have much for amenities and are very old school with a school graduate theme which is cool, but doesn’t really do much for me. No easy food options no breakfast no snack food available so it’s a little tough compared to a nice suburban hotel.
