Astoria Crest Hotel

Hotels should really have a disclaimer when they are remodeling. Workers started at 9am doing what they had to do. It was loud. Also, the beds are super low to the ground and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are extremely small, and the toilets are also extra low to the ground. These are things that may be part of the on going renovations, and if not, they should be. We were in room 115 which had a nice peek at the water. On the plus side, we enjoyed the hot tub and the view because we happened to hit it on a weekend of beautiful weather.

Overall a pretty nice place. It has kind of a retro feel, but modern enough. Nice view, as is always mentioned, and clean and comfortable rooms. The 3-bed family suite was good value for 3 adult siblings traveling together. It is not walking distance to any restaurant or pub, but they sell beer and wine if you want to stay put and have a drink to watch the sunset.

For an old motel, this place very nice and clean. The housekeepers here do a good job. There's a hot tub outside in the back that overlooks the Columbia River. They have breakfast too with a waffle maker. Nice place to stay as we were traveling through Astoria.

So we arrive late to check in, get the keys go grab dinner and come back to walk in and find only a single double bed. We booked for a double. It's now almost 10pm and they don't have authorization to give is another room but can refund us. I was ok with owner calling and saying we had to move the room but they sure left out the fact that oh now you only have one room. Mad dash trying to find a room at 10pm. Don't book here. New owners are already making bad decisions. Oh and we weren't the only ones this happened too.

I had the pleasure of staying at this motel in September and absolutely loved it. The view is amazing and the staff were helpful and caring. They are planning to upgrade the property and I am looking forward to the return to see the changes.

A nice motel conveniently located just outside Astoria. Very much a throwback to the 60's. Many renovations completed with more coming. A very welcoming breakfast with great choices and considerate/friendly staff. Actually located in the Tongue Point area which was a naval base during WWII.

We stayed to celebrate our anniversary. Such a quiet and relaxing spot. With the traffic in Astoria we were especially happy to not be in downtown. The hotel had a beautiful view, the room was clean and the bed comfy. Breakfast was good and staff was nice. Thank you!
