Loved staying here. The staff was SUPER friendly, check-in and out was really easy. we had our lab with us and they gave us a basket of goodies just for her. I'll definitely stay there again. I only gave the room 4 stars because of the bathroom. Shower looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in a while, there were rings in the tub, and the walls are a streaky yellow. like they spray a shower cleaner on the walls and just let it run down. Also, we couldn't close the bathroom door without it getting stuck shut.

What a fun and retro place to park for a night or two. This will take you back to retro 50's-60's and the rat pack days with vibrantly colored rooms, complete with vintage fridges, clocks, mirrors, and posters. It is all about the vintage vibe (including appropriately blue Keurigs in each room), yet all the "modern" trappings of electronic check ins (no keys, just keypads on the doors) and t he latest in hotel actramond. Lobby has cut outs of Marilyn Monroe, Sinatra, Dean Martin and Adam West as Bat man. Inside each room are Andy Warhol type trappings. It's definitely in the mid-budget range so easy on your wallet and so close to everything that you can walk and explore (including the many craft brew pubs and museums this area offers).

Positive: The property does a great job keeping the old fashioned decor clean and functional. Beds are super comfortable & amenities exceed what you’d expect from a motel. Negative: ""

For the price, ~$70/night, it was a good place to stay. Beds were clean, but a little worn. All the surfaces you're likely to come in contact with were clean. TV did not work well - the remote would power it on and control the volume, but you couldn't change the channel or make the guide go away. The door to the bathroom wouldn't latch, so it blows open if the window in the bathroom is open and the front door is opened. The handle on the fridge door is broken, just slips out when you try and pull it. There are unpainted patches on the walls, and only 2 small lamps in the room, so it's pretty dark unless you have the windows open during the day. Again though, for the price, it's a good stay.

Kitchy spot. Weirdly quiet on the lobby. Should be playing some good lounge music at least. Rooms were cute. Bed was meh. Pillows were flat so bring some from home. The location is awesome but man is it noisy. I dont think I'll would stay here agin. I did like the keyless entry. And the refrigerator in the room was so cute!!!

The Atomic Motel is a fun, retro-style spot that offers a unique experience rather than a luxury stay. The décor is adorable, with colorful vintage-style refrigerators and microwaves that give the rooms a lot of charm. We stayed in the family room, Room 210, which had three beds and was perfect for our kids to each have their own. The back window looked out at hillside houses, the mountains, and even the house from the movie Short Circuit. From the front, we had a beautiful view of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, which is especially stunning at night when it is lit up. The location is great for walking to restaurants. We were just steps away from Soon Yi Sushi, Golden Luck Chinese Restaurant, and Pig ’n Pancake for breakfast or lunch. The bathroom was small and got humid after showers, but it worked fine. There was no air conditioning, but a box fan was provided and the weather was cool enough to be comfortable. The walls are a bit thin, so you may hear your neighbors. This is a simple, charming place that’s perfect if you want convenience, a good location, and a memorable style. Breakfast is basic, but they do provide nice toiletries and the little touches make it feel cared for. It worked great for our needs, and we enjoyed the experience

This is the best value in the city. The rooms are simple and clean with a fun Atomic age decor. The value can't be beat and they're very welcome after a long drive.
