Lloyd Hotel Astoria Bayfront, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Wonderful older hotel. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Luxurious bed and linens. Wonderful view of the Columbia River, bridge, and forebay. Staff were courteous and welcoming. Smoked salmon chowder was available after 5pm, don't skip it. Location is a bit out of the way, requiring us to drive past an old U-Haul facility but the hotel makes up for it.

Everything was perfect for our anniversary getaway! Jessie was very helpful when making our reservation, Chris and the entire staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room had flower petals, sparkling cider, champagne glasses filled with chocolates and an anniversary card from the staff. Our corner room with two windows had the best views of the stormy weather and changing tides. The cookies at 3:00 and salmon chowder at 5:00 were so delicious and the buffet breakfast was perfect. The hot tub was a great way to relax in the evening. We loved it all and will definitely return to this hotel whenever we are in the area!

My stay at the Liyod Hotel in Astoria was truly exceptional. The free breakfast served each morning from 7–9 AM was a great way to start the day, and the rooms were spotless. The bed was so comfortable that I slept as well as I do at home. The Wi‑Fi was fast and reliable, they even have access to a public computer in the library. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The pool was warm and fun, there is also a hot tub and a sauna. I could go on and on this was genuinely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the Liyod Hotel to anyone visiting Astoria.

Very nice, friendly hotel. I love the decor, especially all the slate floors and walls. The library was really cool. The 5:00pm free salmon chowder was superb. The pool and hot tub worked great - very strong jets. The scrambled eggs for the free breakfast were the best ever! Oh, I almost forgot... the free fresh daily cookies were also very nice. You can't go wrong with this hotel.

We just love staying here every year for many reasons. We come for the Great Columbia Crossing 10k walk. We like the location with the great views. We like the peaceful location and we like them room comfort. This year we stayed in the suite with 🔥 Fireplace and Hot tub, unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub this time around. We loved the complimentary breakfast selections and the evening - free corn clam chowder taste wonderful, I think It’s even better than Moes clam chowder. We like the friendly atmosphere of the staff.The nice lady that has been working in the breakfast area for over 10 years I believe she said. She’s such a had worker - they’re lucky to have her, I highly recommend they give her more money… The free WiFi worked okay. The only thing that I didn’t like was how much the room rate increased price gauging for the night of the walk. * I highly recommend this hotel and you will not be disappointed. We will see you next year. Thank you and keep up the great job 👏

My wife and I stayed for the second time for our wedding anniversary. The staff went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I won't tell you what they did, but I broke into tears of joy when I walked into our perfect room! We enjoy the friendliness of the staff, and the breakfast bar was delicious with plenty of food to satisfy any tastebuds. I'm very glad we found this hidden gem! Beware of the driveway, like I said it is hidden in plain sight, but there were large potholes accessing it with a driveway shared with U-Haul and storage buildings. We plan to return next year!

The hotel and location were perfect for our trip. Jessi was a huge help with confirming our reservation several weeks prior, and she welcomed us warmly upon our arrival at the hotel. The suite was spacious, open, well-designed, and quiet, overlooking the river. Our check-in experience, the free breakfast provided, and smooth check-out experience also contributed greatly to our satisfaction (the afternoon salmon chowder was excellent, too!). At our check-out we got to meet the general manager, who also provided excellent service and asked about our experience. She listened to us and thanked us kindly for our business and invited us to return the next time we were in Astoria. All in all, this hotel gave us a wonderful experience. Yes, we would definitely stay here again.
