Hyatt Place Bakersfield

In A Nutshell: -This Hyatt in Bakersfield is awesome. -The location is perfect, especially when you are driving between California & Nevada. -It's a good place to spend the night. -There are plenty of good restaurants (Korean, Japanese, Thai & Mediterranean) & a Trader Joe's across the street. -I really liked that is has a gym to stay fit, a pool outside, it's dog friendly & there are plenty of parking spaces. -The breakfast spread in the morning is really good. -They aren't cheap w/ their scrambled eggs or sausage, you get eat a lot of food. Overall, all of the staff I encountered from the front desk to the housekeeping staff were all very nice & kind. I appreciate that.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Bakersfield, CA, while traveling solo, and the experience was outstanding. The hotel is immaculately maintained, and the modern room design created a comfortable and sophisticated atmosphere. One highlight was the beautiful sunset visible from the room, which added a serene and memorable touch to the stay. The bathroom was impeccably clean, and all aspects of the room reflected attention to detail and quality. The pool area was enjoyable, though there were some mosquitoes present during my visit. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe throughout my stay, which was a notable contrast to other hotels I stayed at during my road trip. The staff, security, and overall environment contributed to a strong sense of comfort and peace of mind. Overall, the property exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, comfort, design, and safety. I would highly recommend this Hyatt to both business and leisure travelers and would gladly return for future stays.

Positive: Hotel employees showed care & concern for the issues we faced while staying here. Breakfast was decent, except ALL their bananas were over ripened & bruised. Negative: We arrived at 10pm after a long drive & we were checked into a room that was never cleaned. Hotel employee immediately gave us another room, but we pulled out the sofa bed and it had a dirty used sheet. The bag of extra linens only had a flat sheet & pillow.

The room facing the street is very noisy at night. The front desk didn’t offer me water until I asked for. The facilities are a little old but that is fine for me. The room is spacious and clean.

Nice friendly staff. Rooms were clean but the breakfast choices are far below Hyatt standards. I have stayed at many Hyatt on the east coast and their breakfast are exceptional. Spent 5 nights at Hyatt of Bakersfield and same poor daily breakfast choices with very limited options and not quality food at all. I have seen better breakfast choices at much lower brands than Hyatt. Five stars for Hyatt employees. If you have high expectations of food you will be disappointed.

This should be 5 star but I wasn’t able to sleep due to other guest at the room with 2 Dogs. They are barking and never stopped. It was one German shepherd and chihuahua. Little chihuahua does have service animal vest on. I never seen service bark like that. Most of service Dogs are calm. The owner didn’t clean dogs waste afterward. I was outside watching she never picked up. The lady at the front desk, she wa awesome. She knows her work and that should be role model to any of front desk. She made me laugh and relaxed. Love this place but dogs ruined my night.

They do not offer member welcome kit for they claim they are a special hyatt hotel. Bathroom mantanance is poor. Facet water out of control and high pressure. Water spread everywhere at a slightly opened tap. If you must stay with them, make sure the room is not close to trash bin, which wake you up at 5:30am. They will not offer the best available room to you. Good food across the street.
