Hotel Ulysses

Fit for moles and bats! This hotel is so dark that it’s comical. There were no lights except very dim bedside sconces. I was bumping into the furniture after dark and literally had to turn in the TV before getting into bed so I would not trip over something. I am sure I left an errant sock in a corner but who knows if housekeeping will ever discover it. Also no coffee available before 9 am on day Saturday so this is an automatic non-starter for me. However, the bars looked nice. Next time I will come by for a drink and stay elsewhere. I’m sure they do a great job of keeping the electric bill low!!

A true paragon of hospitality. In a world full of sterilized design choices and apathetic service The Ulysses sets itself apart with unique decor, delectable atmosphere, and an exemplary staff. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and accommodating. The food is daring without being full of itself and maintaining an artfully rustic charm. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL! On a number of occasions they went above and beyond for me as well as other guests. Their ability to be attentive, adaptable, and generously accommodating without being invasive or overbearing is truly remarkable. If I had to fit the experience in one word it would be superlative. Two thumbs up; top tier experience across the board.

Stayed here for Halloween, had with the most wonderful time. The party that they had was really great, had great musicians, open bar, and a full immersive experience at a really great price. The best part of this hotel though is the staff, it feels like you're coming home to family or close friends. Everyone is SO friendly. The room I stayed in. Was also really cute, had really cute unique decor, had a boutique hotel vibe and was very comfy

My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a comfortable sanctuary after a day of exploring the city. The bed was plush, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the view from my window was breathtaking. One of the highlights of my stay was the on-site dining experience. The restaurant at Hotel Ulysses served a great breakfast. The ambiance of the dining area, combined with attentive service, made each meal a pleasure. In summary, Hotel Ulysses exceeded my expectations in every way. With its perfect blend of comfort, excellent service, and a fantastic location, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baltimore. I can’t wait to return!

What impressed me the most, however, was the exceptional customer service. Katia and Abby at the front desk went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed beyond measure. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness set the tone for an outstanding stay. Later, I dined at the Ash Bar and had the pleasure of meeting Rex, who was incredibly accommodating. The hostess was just as wonderful—on a scale of 1 to 10, she was a 15+! Her attentiveness made my dining experience unforgettable. Ulysses is not just a hotel—it’s a full experience, elevated by an extraordinary staff. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking luxury, comfort, and impeccable service in Baltimore.

Super unique, intimate hotel with eclectic design style that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Also a really good value for the price. Both bars are really cool. Clean, friendly staff, quick check in. Have stayed here twice and definitely preferred the king over the classic room, mainly due to the additional windows and natural light in the larger room. Really appreciated the creativity the creators put into this place.

Room only looks nice in the photos but man it is DARK. Poor natural light and artificial light. Hot water was not stable and there was no coffee machine in the room (and I booked a suite). AC was making noises too and the housekeeping service was subpar—my suite didn’t even have hairdryer and I had to text a number to get it. When I was taking my lukewarm bath a lightbulb started flickering. It was almost funny if I didn’t pay over $400 a night for the under lit vintage room with poor amenities.
