Basecamp Boulder was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The location is incredibly convenient and within easy walking distance to CU’s campus, Folsom Field, and Pearl Street, which made everything so simple and fun. What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Jon was working in the morning and made the best coffee, the perfect way to start the day, and he also gave a fantastic breakfast recommendation that did not disappoint. Later that night, Melina and Kyra were so warm, kind, and attentive, making the whole atmosphere feel welcoming and relaxed. Melina recommended the margarita on tap and the s’mores, and both were absolutely delicious. You can tell the team genuinely cares about creating a great experience, and it really shows. I cannot wait to come back!
The staff, Jon and everyone we met were super friendly and helpful and easy to deal with. They felt like instant family and friends to us. The public spaces were absolutely adorable with historic and local extra touch in interior design and the athmosphere was inspiring and calming at the same time. So many activities to choose from in the house, that two days was not even enough time to be there. Room was clean, comfortable and stylish in it’s fun basecamp way. And the bed was very good to sleep in. Totally a go to place to stay at again! Would recommend! Nice extra was the sauna and the firepits and the bar/cafe in the house. Such a lovely place! And the location is perfect. Close to the hikes, close to the downtown Boulder. We’d stay again!
We absolutely loved our stay at Basecamp Boulder! We hosted a work conference here and the atmosphere and venue was well received! Special shoutout to Jon who went above and beyond to help take care of our every need! And a huge thank you to Kira for all her great hospitality! We were a large group and they helped facilitate a great event! We hope to be back one day!
This was such a good experience. Me and my husband came here to get married and it was a Wonderful experience. The staff is the friendliest and Kyra was just down right amazing. We loved playing jenga, uno, table tennis, and the couples game in the rec room. We also loved having a couple of drinks next to the fire and making s’mores. I saw a hot tub, rock climbing wall, and a movie night poster. This hotel has plenty to do! I will also say I love how the room came with a cooler you can use and carry around. Love love
My kids and I stayed at this adorable little lodge in Boulder this past weekend, and we absolutely loved it! It has this slightly funky, eclectic charm that just adds to the experience. Everywhere you look, there are creative, thoughtful touches that make it feel cozy, unique, and welcoming.||The rooms were comfortable and spotless, decorated with that perfect mix of lodge warmth and modern quirk. ||Lots to do with kids and teenagers. Large movie screen with climbing wall and games. Fire pits outside with s’mores from the front desk.||The staff was friendly and genuinely seemed to care about making guests feel at home. It’s clear they put a lot of love into the details here.||It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with kids — close to great restaurants, hiking, and downtown, yet still peaceful and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back!
I had a fantastic time at Basecamp Boulder! It was everything I was looking for! The staff was so friendly and helpful, giving me awesome local recommendations. It was a nice little walk (~15 minutes) to Pearl street. The vibe here is just great. Comfortable, clean rooms, really nice amenities like a hot tub, game room with a climbing wall, lobby bar where you can get a beer in the evening and a great latte in the morning, and amazing staff. What more could you ask for!
Stayed here for 3 nights, great place that feels different from your typical cookie cutter, mid-tier chain hotel, especially considering the price was on the lower side of what many hotels here charge. If you don't have a car, this place is about a half mile from the bus terminal, walkable to downtown, and there is a bike share (B Cycle) station about a minute away. Having the Boulder Creek trail a block behind the place was a nice bonus. The staff were all great, especially John who helped me with some local things to do and super-friendly all around. Rooms are generally good, although there are some small things others have mentioned. The bed was super comfy, the base room is a good size, and it has probably the best in-room coffee I've ever had at a hotel (individual pour-over packets), and I've stayed at hundreds across major chains and independent brands. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the second floor as the noise from those comes through easily on the first floor. Also, the shower could be improved - pressure was a little lacking and the head a bit low. On the plus side, the towels were nice and fluffy. The lobby is new and has plenty of common spaces if you are here with a small group - the bar has good priced drinks (happy hour had $6 beers and wine) and the outdoor porch is lovely with the firepits. The climbing wall and game room are nice touches as well. They do have a (large) hot tub and sauna available. Gym is typically small for a hotel of this caliber but they do have 2 Pelotons there and some free weights and mats. There isn't a lot available for breakfast (oatmeal packets, Jimmy Dean sandwiches, etc are available for purchase) but there are some good coffee shops within a 10 minute walk or 3ish minute drive. For lunch, make sure you go to Little Lama Cafe on the Narpoa University campus if you consider yourself a foodie (the lamb curry was delicious!), or Snarfburger next door if you want something a little heavier. Overall, I would absolutely come back here. It has a great unique vibe that's different from so many of the generic mid-tier hotels. The location is solid, the staff are fantastic, and the price is a great value for Boulder.
