Be careful using your credit card to pay for room. I never used mine but for this place. 2 days later I had charges from eBay totalling 1500. Went to the office to talk to them about it and they said that’s impossible. I said it’s not as I only used it for this hotel. Nothing done about it. Thank goodness for my credit card company and cancelling it for me and sending a new card. Check your credit cards daily and even after stay.
Positive: Easy to get back to the highway , the staff was very accommodating, I drive a box truck , I was able to get a great parking spot Negative: They hold a $100 dollars on your credit card for damages and it isn’t refundable for 4-7 days , it took 15 minutes or more 4 the water to get Hott
I give them one star because they put my deposit on my debit card and the policy states cash, because they make you wait 18 days to get your deposit back on your debit card they rip you off so that they can keep your money in the bank to gain interest on it... on dont let these pictures fool you it doesn't look like this this picture is very old, and pool is not kept up either.....||Run do not stay here!!!!||staff was nice but he was the one that instead of taking my cash put the deposit on my card!!!!!!!!!
Don’t book here unless you’re very desperate & even then! I wish we would have looked at the reviews before we booked, we were tired and got whatever was close & available. The guy checking us in was nice. We got locked out of the door leading outside because we were trying to kill a large flying roach right that was outside the room while we were unloading our stuff. Floors were dirty had our shoes on the whole time, we put up a blanket to cover the blinds since they were broken in a one side & someone could see inside. Thank god we travel with our own sheets after reading reviews where people got bit by bedbugs I was freaking out all night. Early morning there were people talking loudly in the laundromat where we could hear them loud & clear. We didn’t use the towels, pillows nothing. I don’t understand how this place is still renting out rooms like this.
The facility is so close to a "ten" but too many details have been ignored. No signs advertising the name of place. Entry way carpet filthy, stairwell needs a good power wash. Beautiful renovation on bathroom tile but ceiling was painted and no care to protect tile spraying all over it. Up grades like TP holder, iron rack etc were installed and sloppily painted with wrong color of paint as well as repairs in walls. Blinds broken .Upper door security didn’t have but half of the lock, useless. Nothing provided in kitchen to eat on, cook or eat with. Seems bed pillow covers and spread are not washed. Double sheets on bed were very clean and smelled of bleach but were too short for king bed. Nice dock, clean pool and spacious balcony. Room was a great size.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The room was clean but was in such disrepair it should not have been rented out to a paying customer. Also when an additional charge showed up on my bank account, it could not be resolved at the motel. The employee told me to dispute it with my bank, which I did with success, but took extra steps and time on my end and I had to leave without the reassurance of resolution. The following night I booked an Airbnb in Matlacha that was stunning, on the water as well and for less money.
Relatively inexpensive hotel room with a kitchenette. Moderately clean, mostly just old and dated. Bed was comfortable but squeaky. Both the frame and the box-spring squeaked very loudly any time I moved. It was ridiculously loud. The couple in the room next to me was VERY 'loud', if you know what I mean. Kitchenette was clean, no dishes, pans, silverware....nothing! I usually stay in suites like this and have never had a kitchen EMPTY of anything. Cost me $100 at Wal-Mart to get what I needed...kinda shaved off what I was saving vs. a newer hotel. Saving graces: 2 blocks from the nursing home I was visiting my dad at. Desk staff was nice. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day. It is exactly what you should expect. It is a resort/hotel that was premium in the 80's when it was built, has been through multiple hurricanes (and I suspect owners) and is dated in appearance, amenities, and feel. Musty, moldy smell, but clean. People are nice, this is not some flop house. Not sure if I would stay here again, the smell and bed were big strikes against them.
