I stayed at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort for an extended weekend with my family. The resort has a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean and mountain ranges in Southern California. The unit I stayed in was clean, modern and comfortable. We had a full kitchen, a large dining table, couch and chair as well as outdoor furniture on the balcony. The beds in the room were comfortable and the bathrooms had enough towels for everyone. The staff were helpful and friendly during our stay. I will return!

We've stayed here several times over the years and each experience gets better because we've continued to upgrade our room. This time we had a two room suite which was plenty of room but the bathroom was not off the bedroom, but off the living room. We had two balconies and a great view of the pool and ocean. One afternoon while we were trying to nap they were playing loud music at the pool. The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can walk to everything and it's right on the water. It's really best for families with children and is primarily a timeshare but has a hotel. No restaurant on site but so convenient and the little coffee shop across the courtyard is excellent and so convenient. Good parking garage. We had a mildew smell in our room and left the sliding doors open all day and night to avoid the smell. There were roughly 30 in our group and several others had the same complaint. Believe the secret is to ask for a top floor room. I did mention it to the desk clerk and was told that's how it is at the beach which tells me they are not trying to mitigate the problem.

The hotel was disappointing. Rose was in charge of our accommodation, she was absolutely not friendly, she took a very long time to do everything and gave us a room right under a building structure. When I turned on the air conditioner, the whole room was filled with construction dust, it became hard to breathe. We returned to the reception and asked to change the room, but they refused because there were no rooms available, although it was a weekday and the hotel was completely empty. I double-checked the hotel website, there were many available rooms of all categories, so I asked to invite a manager. The manager had to wait about 30 minutes, he did not introduce himself, he was also very unhappy that he was disturbed and said that the only free room was even further away than the one that was given to the first one, even further than the Cassara hotel, but without construction overhead. we offered to pay extra for a better room, but he strictly refused us and since it was impossible to cancel the hotel, we would have lost the full cost, we stayed the night in the room that was given. I don't recommend this hotel with such unfriendly staff.

This was a perfect place for our family vacation. Our 2 bedroom unit had ample room for all 6 of us and the location was hard to beat. The complex was situated close to Legoland, Carlsbad Outlets, Costco, the flower fields, freeways, restaurants, etc. If you have "little ones" with you, there are crafts and other activities to keep them entertained. Overall, this was a great choice for our family vacation. Btw, we stayed at this facility for 1 week and there's a full kitchen available if cooking is on the agenda.

Check-in was a breeze—less than 10 minutes! Naz was incredibly pleasant, clearly explained the resort layout, and provided a map showing exactly where my room was located. Parking was plentiful (likely because it wasn’t peak season), and I lucked out with a spot close to the elevator, which made hauling luggage and groceries effortless. Speaking of elevators… the wait time were impressively quick and it smelled amazing every single time. At first I thought it was someone’s lingering perfume, but nope—the fresh aroma was consistent across both elevators! I definitely scored with my room location. It was directly across from the elevator, and from parking the car to stepping into my room took all of 5 minutes (yes, I timed it 😄). The room itself was clean and fully stocked. My only minor gripe was that the TV only had basic cable and no streaming services—but honestly, that ended up being a blessing because I got a lot of work done. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and greeted me warmly. What really stood out was the consistent staff presence in the garage area. Even after midnight, when no other guests were around, staff were still visible, which made me feel extremely safe and comfortable. Overall, a true 5-star experience. The stay was exactly what I expected—smooth, clean, safe, and well-run. I would absolutely return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Pacific Palisades. The hotel was very nice, clean, and extremely kid-friendly, which made our trip so much more enjoyable as a family. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and everything felt well taken care of. The customer service was truly top-notch, especially at the front desk. Rose went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience—she was incredibly kind, helpful, and always had a smile on her face. Her hospitality really stood out and made us feel valued as guests. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families and look forward to staying here again in the future.
