My husband and I stayed at the lovely Martin House in a large clean room with a desk and two comfortable chairs. The bathroom was large as well and well equipped. Upon booking, we expected to have breakfast in the Maclellan House across the street. When checking in at the Maclellan House, we saw tables set and what appeared to be set ups for a breakfast on a large dining table. Much to our surprise, we were given breakfast vouchers for a coffee house around the corner. We had 4 choices for breakfast and one cup of either coffee or hot tea. Getting breakfast required standing in line to order at the coffee house. We had to sit outside with barking dogs, and the food was delivered to our table. Fortunately it was a nice warm day. When checking out, we were told that there were not enough guests in the houses to serve breakfast in the Maclellan house. For what we paid for the B&B, not serving breakfast as expected was very disappointing. We will not return to the property or recommend it to our friends.

Suite was very accommodating. Great view of the Tennessee River as was the entire location of the Inn. The innkeeper, Kelley, was very helpful and hospitable. Great location of the Inn in relation to the Downtown area and the Tennessee River. Would recommend anyone staying there either for a short term like we did or for a few nights.

Recently drove into Chattanooga and stayed at the T.C. Thompson House in The Bluffview Art District. Really enjoyed the accommodations and would most definitely stay again for future visits.

Not sure how others booked their rooms since the innkeeper doesn't return phone calls: I left 4 polite messages over 2 days and never heard back. A bit rude

Nice weekend stay at the Bluff View Inn! We were surprised at how quiet it was, which was definitely a perk!||Some great things: we enjoyed the breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, full breakfast options, good coffee, and the bakery options were awesome. We liked our bed and pillows, and everyone was friendly enough. We don’t stay in BnBs a lot so we didn’t have specific expectations. The room was nice and big!||Things that could be improved: blackout curtain options would be incredible. We don’t like waking up to the sun, so we wore face-masks. Also our room was really outdated; it had charm but there was room for upgrades (the tv was archaic honestly, could have used a better hairdryer, and better mirrors in the bathroom would be great additions). ||It’s a nice option, and we would stay there again! Just addressing some of these items would be to their benefit.

Our stay here for two nights was exceptional! We were in the Maclellan House, the Bryan Room and it is huge! Sofa, chairs and a fireplace. There are wonderful views of the river both north and south. The house was extremely clean and in great shape and is located in a wonderful part of town next the art museum. Breakfast is served as pick up downstairs from Rembrandt's Coffee House across the street. The dining room area worked well, some additional plates, etc. at breakfast might be nice. The property consists of three different houses and we really liked this one. Highly recommended!

My fiancé and I visited this place yesterday because I absolutely love history and bed and breakfasts and learning about the story behind them. I was so excited to visit and talk with them about renting a room there for our wedding night. The first lady that greeted us as we walked in was really sweet. She welcomed us, gave us a brochure, and told us to have a look around and that the "boss" would be there soon. As we were walking down the stairs we came to this woman, who was the boss the previous lady spoke of, and she had this awful look on her face like she was appalled we were there. She said "is there something I can help you with?" in an extremely aggressive manner. Honestly I was taken back by this and confused I didn’t understand why there was such a hostile tone. I responded and told her yes, that we were looking around and wanted to stay there soon on our wedding night. She "popped" her lips in the most sarcastic manner and said "…….okay" really slow and drawn out in the most condescending tone. I could not believe we were being treated that way. I’ve never been greeted like that in my 41 years of existence. She was an absolutely awful mannered woman and I feel so sorry for the sweet lady that has to work under her. I plan to share this experience on other platforms as well because I would hope no one wants to support a business that treats people like this. My fiancé and I were in our walking clothes so not necessarily dressed up, not sure if she was being judgmental or what the situation was. I racked my brain all day on this because I was flabbergasted by this woman and how ugly she acted towards us. We were having a beautiful morning and that really put a damper on my day. We have been welcomed with open arms by literally every one else in Chattanooga. I love this city and I realize there can be bad apples every where, I guess I just met my first one yesterday.
