Cicero Grand - Syracuse North

My daughter and I checked in the the hotel on 25th Sept until 27th September. We arrived quite late at night from London. The following morning went have a shower and found quite alot hair in the shower it was obviously not cleaned. It was very unpleasant as it lead us to believe the rooms weren't actually cleaned after the last guest check out. We did not have a shower, but had to go and buy cleaning products and clean the shower. We came down for breakfast which we were looking forward too. I went to make toast only to find the bread (which was wrap in cling film) had green mould on it. Due to health and hygiene this shouldn't have been put out or check before it went out. I left the bread at reception as there was no one there attending. After, some time the receptionist came I told her about the bread and was removed. Next day we decided not to have breakfast at the hotel as we were put off by the whole experience and questioned how fresh was the food. I expected my stay to be an enjoyable one but instead there were issues. I feel that the money I paid for the hotel was a waste and my experience was awful one.

Our money was taken out of our account before we even arrived to the hotel. The fridge in our room didnt work, microwave barely worked, lock on our door jiggles, the door handle itself jiggled. Dust on top of the fridge. The vending machines were empty, the refreshment place downstairs was empty. We had to go to the store to get drinks for our room. Not pleased with this hotel at all. Will never stay here again. Do not recommend for anyone to do so either.

Positive: I liked the accessibility and price of the hotel. The amenities were fair as well. Negative: The floors felt like there was a substance on it, kind of slippery. The shower could have been cleaner and I was only provided with 2 towels. Lastly, I woke up with a lot of bites all over my body. Currently trying to get a refund.

This is my first night of a 4 night stay |The room is clean but dated. Stains on the couch & it’s really worn out. I’ve called the desk twice about the loud noises from the room above ( children jumping up & down) & they really didn’t seem to care |The security flap on the door is really weak, needs to be replace by someone who knows what they are doing. |The bathroom is clean, same with the bedding. I did check for bed bugs & thankfully there were none. |The remote control has no back cover either

Zero things Grand about this hotel. Stayed because is was a quick drive to hockey tournament. Beds were clean and made but that was the extent of the cleanliness of the room. Tables were sticky, long dark hair everywhere on the floor, someone's clothes left in the drawers, clicker wouldn't connect/work for tv, and 2 towels for me and my kids. Worst pTV, for me was the owner/wife/daughter that ran the desk the entire 3 days I was there was super inconvienced to help anyone. Everytime I went up to get something, remote batteries, bath towel, and pool towel, her entire demeanor was inconvienced to help me, horrible customer service. My other hockey parents had sadly experienced similar issues as well.

Heavy smell of pot on our floor and in lobby, and not very clean. Elevator needed to be cleaned, when we got to our room it appeared as though it wasn’t cleaned. They gave us another room and we were thankful. There was a few places with clumps of hair on the floor, giving the impression that the floors were not cleaned. We did stay in the new room, but were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness. Pictures are what we found in the first room. Some shining light, the front desk lady was nice, and the property was easy access from the highway. And the bed was comfortable .

I stayed for one night. The room was not fully clean with evidence of guests from the past. I woke up with many bites around my body consistent with bed bugs, I tried to get in contact with management via email but have not heard back. Be careful if you stay in room 210!
