1906 Lodge

We absolutely loved this historic lodge located within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and shops. The room was spacious, the king bed very comfortable and we had a nicely appointed large bathroom. The breakfast was delicious! Unfortunately, I missed the Happy Hours. The staff was so gracious and we felt very welcome. We can't wait to come back!

My husband and I came to this hotel with high expectations after reading all of the 5 star reviews and we were equally as impressed. Monse at reception was a delight. Beautiful rooms that were so clean. Lovely cookies on arrival. Beautiful breakfast. Everything is walkable. If we are ever visiting San Diego again we will be sure to stay at the 1906 lodge, thank you very much

Charming lodge with a bed and breakfast feel, yet with privacy and flexibility that is even more comfortable. The staff and breakfast/happy hour snacks are memorable. The bicycles add so much to the experience. Totally relaxing and great access to everything. Definitely recommend.

Looking to spend time in San Diego but none of the downtown hotels appealed. We booked here with the bay ferry in mind which turned out to be an enjoyable and memorable way to get across the bay, the ferry dock located a short walk from the hotel. One ferry drops you at the USS Midway close to Little Italy; the other shorter route goes to Petco Park and the Gaslamp quarter. Coronado itself was a nice surprise, pleasant to walk around. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a spa king room with a big screen TV, whirlpool tub and large and well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was served fresh each morning on the outdoor patio, complimentary coffee from 7am. Check-in was friendly and the secure parking garage is right around the corner. Book directly with 1906 Lodge and do follow their guidance on driving to the hotel; your car/phone app will direct you to cross a very busy one-way which can be easily avoided. This hotel lacks nothing and offers outstanding value and hospitality.

We had an amazing stay at 1906 Lodge. Downtown Coronado is a short walk away including Del Coronado Hotel. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast and happy hours were outstanding. We took advantage of the free bikes and used the bike trails which were very close.

We enjoy the spaces and the 4:00pm hour very much. ||We found the breakfasts to be odd tasting combos and sometimes not to our liking. ||Would prefer to enjoy simply eggs, toast, protein (sausage, bacon, other) and fresh fruit, yoghurt. Perhaps you’ve had other feedback on the breakfasts? ||Love the staff!! |

We loved staying at the 1906 lodge! Our rooms were adorable and the facilities were clean, comfortable, and just around the corner from the action. Convenient parking, free use of the beach cruisers, delicious complementary breakfast!
