Cozy Inn Costa Mesa

This is the worst hotel/motel ive ever stayed at sticky floors, TV didn’t work, no bedside outlets and every electronic in the room wasn’t plugged in. Dirt and grim buildup behind the bed a closet that smelled like rat piss and mold. Not to mention their false advertising (the pictures on google maps are not what your going to get) and aggressive scammer esque policies like $500 fee for a noise disturbance meanwhile most high end establishment aren’t even set that high. The check in process was not helpful at all and was welcoming in any sense of normal human behavior.

I've stayed in this motel three times in the past but this time I could not put up with the fact the room had an inoperable shower. I was checked in Room 6 - which looked like a wheelchair accessible room. The knob to the shower was broken off and there was no way to regulate temperature let alone have to injure yourself to turn on the spigot. The room overall was in disrepair with mold and no ventilation in the bathroom. I alerted the front desk clerk who told me the motel was sold out and I had to put up with this. ||I said I cannot stay in a room where one cannot take a shower. He apologized but said no refund can be given. I handed in my key and stayed elsewhere. Later, I found they not only wouldn't refund but aimed to keep my security deposit. I find these practices to be shady and if the shower is inoperable, housekeeping should take the room offline. The ethic of this hotel is very questionable. ||I can put up with a lot, but the motel should have some standards of what an acceptable room should be. Also, they should make appropriate adjustments for problems you encounter. If you like gambling on your motel experience, stay here, otherwise look elsewhere.

Rooms are not in the best condition.... everything is broken. The TV remote is missing pieces. Don't open the closet it's moldy in room #9 one of the lamps don't work. The bed is sunked in, last but not least they will keep your $50 deposit so you're paying over $100 for a really bad room. I stayed a few days ago in January.

I was there last night, friend, clean no frills. They have some very small flat pillows, that I requested to buy. As I slept great and would also make a good travel pillow for my back I don't steel. But I can't get a straight answer from them on where they get them. That is very disappointing. Doesn't make since as to why they won't tell me where they got the pillows.

Great place to stay! The location was literally everything. Comfy beds, cozy and safe. Clean, and big rooms, I couldn’t ask for a better way to get the feel of Costa Messa, CA

This place is a skanky scam. They kept my $50 deposit because I wiped off their table with their 99 cent hand towel they called it damages, because it was cherry drips ..... you dont know how to do laundry there? He said he wanted to charge me an extra $23 as well. So $73 for a hand towel. That's freaking garbage. The air conditioner was banging all night number 3.....
