Hotel Indigo San Diego del Mar by IHG

We’ve been to this hotel about 10 years ago and remembered it as a great place to stay - we were not disappointed this time! It was good seeing some staff members still working here which I consider a good sign for treating staff well. Johnny and Alexia went above and beyond during check-in getting us a room that met our wishes and needs. Our room was quiet, nice and clean with a good mattress and a private patio. Breakfast was yummie, the waitress was lovely. The hotel is in walking distance to the cliffs and we loved watching the sunsets or simply enyoing the view. Check-Out was done with accuracy and love by Barbara, one of the staff members we remembered from 10 years ago. So good to see her again! This hotel is a lovely place to unwind, relax and enjoy life. Thanks to all the staff members that made this short vacation a special one!

The rooms were clean and quiet. The service here is top notch. Ursula, who checked me in, was very helpful in helping me get acclimated. Barbara helped me create the perfect picnic lunches to take the kids in the car. I ate breakfast every morning in the restaurant downstairs, and Tee always remembered me, and her service was above and beyond. Ian was also attentive and kind, and made sure I had a coffee to go. I highly recommend their breakfast. Excellent meals every morning, and they were happy to make modifications for my dietary needs. They also had a well-equipped, clean fitness center. Finally, the location was excellent. Within walking distance to charming downtown Del Mar and the beach, down the road from the Coastal Christmas Holiday light show, and less than 30 minutes to attractions like San Diego Zoo. Close by everything! Loved my stay, loved my room, loved the staff! A lovely boutique hotel. I will be back soon:)

I had the pleasure of being served by Santana and he was easily one of the best parts of the night. His energy was warm without being over the top. The drinks were exceptional — not just well‑made, but crafted with real intention. Whether it was a classic cocktail or something more creative, every drink had great flavor and was beautifully presented. You could tell he genuinely cared about the craft. What really stood out was his ability to read the room. He remembered preferences, made thoughtful recommendations, and kept the bar running smoothly even when things got busy. If you’re looking for someone who brings skill, personality, and professionalism to the bar, Santana is the one. He turned a good night into a great one.

My family and I stayed one night at the Hotel Indigo Del Mar after flying into San Diego. The hotel was about 30 min from the airport. The staff made us feel very welcome upon arrival and made sure we had a crib for our baby. We were placed in a room overlooking the Pacific. We arrived after dark so we couldn’t see anything until the next morning. The room was spacious with comfy beds and a refreshing rain shower. When the sun rose, the view was breaktaking! We were able to walk a couple of blocks down to the Del Mar Cliffs from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay short though it was. This is a property I’d highly recommend!

I adore this hotel. The staff is AMAZING, especially Benito- if you get the pleasure of having him check you in at the front desk, you will instantly understand why this hotel is the best in town. Friendly, funny, and overall just a vibe. The rooms are super cool and the location is perfect. A nice walk to the downtown area and the best French bakery just down the block. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I’ve stayed in a lot of others in this area and hotel indigo is my go too.

Hotel Indigo in Del Mar: We stayed for 3 nights this week. The front desk staff Barbara Durand was Awesome- such a wonderful personality, very helpful, professional, and So pleasant. Our room had a broken hand held shower and the in room lighting was VERY dim. After we asked Barbara for assist- within 30 mins she had staff come fix it- the man was efficient, polite, fixed it in 15 mins and brought a floor lamp for extra lighting. We Appreciate the excellent customer service from staff. We love the Del Mar hotel location, front lobby is bright welcoming, lots of comfy outdoor seating areas on 2nd floor patios and pool area; recommend booking the 2nd floor rooms. Only negative for us -the hotel charges per night parking fees and the pillows in our room was lumpy- pillows need to be replaced. Gorgeous ocean views, spacious clean rooms with big windows and No carpets in room is great for us. Easy walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and beautiful neighborhood. Super Dog friendly, and nice walk to the beach park area. We will for sure be back soon and recommend to friends.

I recommend this hotel to all my family and friends! The staff is beyond amazing and helpful! They are pet friendly and have bowls of water lying around and treats for your fur babies! The rooms are very clean and the view was so beautiful! I want to thank Benito Anastacio for helping us with our stay! I called the front desk for some items needed and they were sent over quickly! The restaurant is unbelievably delicious! My favorite is the veggie hummus plate! Thank you Hotel Indigo for an amazing stay experience! We will be back!
