Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel

Feels kind of like they tried to preserve the age of the hotel but didn't do a great job. Location was ok and the staff were actually really great. I wish the ownership would give them a better product. The rooms were clean though, great for an overnight stay but overall unimpressive and not worth the price whatsoever.

Our Class of 1970 held our 55th reunion at your beautiful and historic hotel. The venue was beautiful and well maintained. The food in the bar and served in the buffet for our event was well presented and delicious. Christoper was extremely accommodating, friendly, and receptive to each and every one of the guests throughout our event. The remaining staff were also well trained and efficient in their respective roles. Thank you again for helping us to make this reunion so memorable!

Positive: The room size was incredible! Loved the art and history of the hotel as well. Negative: Unable to get a decent cup of coffee,they were renovating the coffee shop and bar.

I dont know about rooms im sure they're amazing but the cocktail lounge here, the cora room! Perfection! Bella is phenomenal!!! Food is perfection, i still dream about the charcuterie board! The drinks were delicious, 10/10 recommend!!

The staff is nice and the decor is cool. However, this hotel leave a lot to be desired. The room are small limited amenities. Like No Laundry room or pool. You'll have to know someone to let you in on the other Marriott across the skywalk to let you in

Grear for the price appropriately. The shower curtain kinda made the shower a little too cramped as it was an afterthought or a replacement for glass. The entry doors were down for service and had to enter from the service entrance, but it wasn't that bad.

Room and bathroom were incredibly small—barely enough space to move. The A/C was loud and kept turning on and off all night, making it hard to sleep. Tried calling the front desk twice, no answer. Then was charged for those phone calls? Also frustrating to be charged for internet when the stay was already on the expensive side. Location is great, but not worth the price—better options nearby.
