Riviera Motel Erie

Some ppl saying dirty noisy, don't know what world their from VERY clean. One of our rooms even had 3 beds. All have microwave fridge ac. Nice place in back with fire pit and room for corn hole. Pool warm and clean. Right across from waldameer 2 miles to beaches. Matt and Brian nice ppl. Also if you want a place with ADULT ONLY POOL TIME, as someone wrote,don't stay here. Brian and Matt don't discriminate against kids

We absolutely love this motel. Brian is awesome. Very personable and down to earth. Always willing to help with anything. Just spent 3 days there. And can't wait to go back in the fall. It is such a convenient place for us. Price is right. They allow dogs which helps us immensely for we have a little dog that goes everywhere with us. Place is always clean and the heated pool is always a go to in the evenings just to relax. Love it , Love it😀

Stayed 2 nights here. The room was ok, we have stayed in worse in south beach. No signs of bed bugs, mattress was comfy, But the reviews that say it's quiet are not true..it's very noisy. Edit: after speaking with the owner he admitted he was aware of the noise problem and trying to formulate a way to address it without offending anyone. If you know erie, you know it's a seasonal location...this motel seems to have a lot of seasonal folks here, no biggie. As far as the rooms go, you get a great sized mini fridge, a microwave and that's it. No safe in the room, no frills. Everything is outdated but that adds a bit of old time charm. I LOVE the screen doors on each room. As far as cleanliness goes? It's an older facility so it is run down, things look dirty but aren't just aged, the people working here do take pride in keeping it as clean as they can. As far as location? You can walk to Waldameer. Oasis pub is across the street and you gotta have the fried banana peppers. Beaches are less than 10mins, absolutely can't beat that. We didn't use the pool because it was over run with kids. Would be cool to have adults only night swim after a certain time. The price is right for only being here to sleep, shower and...the other "sh" plus, the WiFi worked, we brought our projector and watched movies on the ceiling laying in bed. Will be back! Curious about the Jacuzzi rooms!

We stay at Riviera a few times a year. Despite numerous hotels/motels in the area we keep going back to Riviera. Matt and Brian know hospitality and they never refuse any request to make our stay comfortable. In fact, every person we encouter from the staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is eated and warm even when Erie is Erie as far as temps. We can afford to stay anywhere but Riviera has everything we are looking for so we will keep going back.

This could tske a minute so prepare!! Checkin: i had to ask the "residents" where to check in, no signage! The office smells like smoke and bad takeout! They didnt ask for id or anything to check me in....felt unsafe! The room when we got it, the windows were all unlocked, anyone could have gotten in! I mentioned the "residents" earlier, i believe there are permanent residents at this place...they sit outside drinking heavily and make you feel very unwelcome. They ALL smoke and it wafts everywhere!!! The pool, while semi-nice...they act like they own it and you are intruding!!! They move chairs around and the picnic tables to hangout, drink, and play cards and dont move them back or move when you are trying to exit or enter your room...they just stare at you like you in their way! The room itself was drab and worn down, but for the most part ok, just smelly and had renuzit air freshners behind the tv. Will NEVER visit again or refer anyone!!!!

My daughter and I have been having a mother daughter trip to Erie for a week for the past 6 years. This year was the first time we stayed at riviera motel. The staff, Matt, Bryan and George are truly fantastic and so kind! anything we needed they would help us with. The rooms aren’t immaculate but they are clean and homey feeling. The price of the motel is super reasonable ! The pool is very clean and refreshing! We felt very safe and like we were part of the family. Right around the corner from the entrance to presquile and many restaurants and stores within a short distance from motel. We will definitely be staying here every year from now on and can’t thank them enough for all the great memories we will be making.

I wonder how long ago these reviews were written. We just returned 5/2025 from a trip to Erie. We made reservations at the Riviera Motel and were surprised at how dirty the place was. I didn’t expect luxury, but did expect a level of cleanliness. This was the dirtiest place I have ever seen! We decided after about 10 minutes in the room that we just couldn’t stay there. When we complained at the office, they readily offered a refund of the amount we paid—almost as if they expected this result. I am not usually a negative person, but this was just too much.
