Spencer House Bed & Breakfast

I have sent my 19-year-old daughter to Spencer House B&B on two of her visits to Erie (5 hours away from home) and I have had peace of mind knowing she has been in good hands while surrounded by so much beauty. This B&B is a gem and the owners are wonderful! From my first contact with Steve he was accommodating, professional, and super friendly, and he assured me that my daughter and her guest would be well taken care of. The rooms are well-appointed, very clean, and extremely comfortable. My daughter loves it there so much and calls it her "home in Erie". She sent me a photo of one of her breakfasts and it looked delicious. What a lovely experience Lisa and Steve have created for their guests. I highly recommend Spencer House B&B to anyone who visits Erie. ❤️

A wonderful Christmas get away! We were visiting family in the area, and decided on Spencer House for our stay, and it was an amazing choice. Steve, and Lisa were great hosts. The house is wonderful, and truly a piece of art which they maintain well. The breakfast was delicious every morning. You can smell it cooking all the way up on the third floor. It is a very pleasant way to start the morning. We look forward to future family visits for a reason to book another stay.

This gem of an Inn surprised us with its charm, beauty, and cleanliness! The pictures truly do not do it justice. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in the door. The bed in our room was exceptionally comfortable, and the place was absolutely spotless. The Innkeepers, Steve and Lisa, have made this a truly wonderful place to stay. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the care and service were extraordinary. My husband and I have stayed in many B&B's over the past decade or so, and would rate this well within the top 3, probably even our absolute favorite! We will definitely be back any time we are looking to stay anywhere near Erie!

My husband and I had a wonderful time! We spent the long weekend over Valentine’s Day and it was wonderful. The house is beautiful- a stunning Victorian mansion with great decor. We stayed in Mary’s room which was so cute. It was quiet, homey, and restful. The breakfasts were amazing- two courses, plated beautifully, and delicious! Steve and Lisa were the sweetest hosts. We enjoyed being so close to Presque Isle State Park and experiencing winter by Lake Erie! 10/10 would recommend staying here! Thank you for making our trip so great!

Excellent in all areas. The hosts and owners, Steve & Lisa could not have been more accommodating and more pleasant. The home is beautiful and nothing was missed - basically a perfect setting with every little thing attended to. Steve brushed the snow off of our car and emphasized "We are all-service hosts". The breakfasts were different each day and the food was the absolute best. The 1876 home is historic and really relaxing, amazing, and enjoyable. We will stay here anytime we are in Erie, grant there is an opening. Again, could not have been better! Gary & Tammy

What a wonderful gift was given from my children! Not only did we see a great performance from the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra, but we also stayed at this wonderful place. The Spencer House B&B is not only a beautiful place to stay with a wonderful breakfast and two of the friendliest innkeepers we have ever met, but it also within walking distance to all the wonderful things that are happening in the State Street area. We will definitely be back!

Upon arrival, Lisa and Steve were gracious hosts offering us a tour of the house and asking about our preferences for breakfast. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was super cozy and comfy and I slept well-no noise waking me up. Our breakfast consisted of delicious scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and blueberry pancakes with a yogurt parfait for a starter. YUM! Other guests were friendly at the table and Steve offered suggestions for area activities. My lifelong college friend, Sue, and I enjoyed a weekend of girl talk, nature, and shopping. Thank you, Lisa and Steve, for sharing your lovely bed and breakfast with the community--it is a real treasure!!
