Steelhead Inn

Arrived on a Saturday about 4pm. Left an hour later for an event. Arrived back to the room approximately 1:15 am. Took a shower and headed to bed. Within 30 minutes I was awoken by an adult bedbug crawling on me. Immediately called the front desk to alert. Was informed I would need to go through Booking.com for a refund. Drove to the office to deposit my key. Was met by who I assumed was the manager; shared my concern and even handed over the captured bed bug. Very apologetic but now they are refusing to refund me. My story speaks for itself. Avoid!!!! Don’t be sucked into a cheap price and convenient location!

2||Front office has half brick covered over with a mesh rug type thing. I fell over it. Scraped and bloodied my knee, scraped my hands, and pulled a muscle in my thigh in the back. ||I can hardly sleep. Very dangerous entry way. In front of my room are half opened sand bags which is another safety concern. ||Will not stay here again after check out on Sunday and will have my husband return the keys as I'm not taking the chance of falling again at the entry. ||Definitely not worth the money we paid for 2 nights.

There was an extremely strong artificial air freshener smell, and bugs were flying around the room. Who knows what kind of bad smells were being covered up. Then looking closer at where the bugs were coming from, the back counter, that had a microwave and mini fridge, was wet, deteriorating, growing big patches of mold, and hopping with bugs all over. The sheets were thin had stains that looked unwashed and holes. Even the walls had visible dirt and un matched touch up paint in random spots, and behind the bathroom door was another rotting section of wall. Very grossed out and disappointed. We still have not gotten a refund after notifying the staff that we were not going to be staying there. It left us with no where to stay because everywhere else had no vacancies at that point, which shows how disgusting this place is that it’s the only hotel with vacancies in town. It’s not worth the risk.

I stayed there for two days good price can't complaint good service relaxing near on everything I would recommend it. It feel like real home. Feel comfortable I like it five stars.

There was a shortage in the electrical outlet that apparently was due to existing broken lamp plugged into the outlet and the 3rd prong to the plug was broken in the outlet. They repaired it after the issue was reported. Tried to cancel the last 2 nights of the 3 night reservation because family had room at the house and they refused to give a refund. Very upsetting. They even required full payment at check in that I have not experienced in all the lodging I've ever booked. Ive figured out they don't give refunds because they don't get enough reservations and now I know exactly why. The management was very rude as well. I would recommend NEVER to stay at this location for anyone. Spend your money elsewhere.

One of the worst experiences I've had with a motel. I checked into the room little before 11PM. The room smelled a bit and the walls were extremely thin to the point I could clearly hear the TV in the room next door. I tried to sleep on the bed but the mattress was so hard to the point it wasn't possible for me to sleep on it. I tried to request a new room from the front office but it was closed with the lights off. I called the numbers listed on the door several times but there was no answer. I ended up leaving and staying at another hotel. To make matters worse, I WAS CHARGED TWICE - once through the Agoda app I booked on and then again when I swiped my credit card for a "deposit" at the front desk. The motel is refusing to refund my money so I am disputing it with my credit card.

Where do I begin THIS PLACE LIKE NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES!!!... I RARELY write a review for anything ever! but WOW!!! first of all they put us in a room that was to have a refrigerator and microwave then moved us, as this is going on I noticed there are people living at this motel which is already a sign that it's super sketchy! The toilet seat was falling off, no drain plug in bathroom sink, cobwebs everywhere and only 3 pillows on the bed and when I asked for another one it was like I was asking for something unreasonable. Let me add that these "pillows" where the thinnest excuses for a pillow, it was embarrassing and completely uncomfortable. The refrigerator was falling apart and the heater was loud as hell all night . Didn't sleep a wink in the mattress that was caving in the middle and at 6am there was a man sleeping on the picnic table outside in the rain. Idk what it's like to spend the night in a crack house but I imagine this is it. The mirror was smeared , the rug on the floor was sticky and the place reeked of stale cigarettes. The reservation said "Continental breakfast" (they had NOTHING) but let me add when I asked if they just had coffee in the morning she said "um no but I guess if you want some we can make some" :/ I couldn't wait to leave and we did at 6:30am. Beyond disappointing to not be able to enjoy a night away from home.
