Dune Fairfield Beach

We booked two rooms after our wedding at the Jacky Durell Pavilion right down the street. We were happy with the whole process and didn't have any issues. The place is conveniently located near the beach and several other amenities. The rooms were VERY clean and nice. I went for a nice walk along the beach early in the morning. Yes, it is located next to the Sea Grape bar and of course it can be noisy there, but it clearly states that on the website and the staff even offered to move our room, "just in case". We opted to stay with a ground floor room (for our elderly parents) that is adjacent the sea grape bar, but it was a Sunday night and they didn't hear a thing.

We called with a last-minute reservation, and they were very accommodating with our requests! Stayed here many years ago as the Inn and this is a major upgrade. Room and amenities are beautiful, including the outdoor shower to wash off sand from the beach! We stayed on a Saturday night in a room adjacent to the Seagrape next door and with a sound machine and the AC unit on, the noise didn't bother us at all.

We thought the room was clean and a great size but the location was TERRIBLE. We stayed here on a Saturday night in September. The bar next door was incredibly LOUD all night long - street FULL of drunk college kids. We were looking for a relaxing night away for our anniversary and instead we heard drunk kids screaming in the street until 4am. Maybe this is better in the summer when the college kids are not there but this truly is a terrible location to go to in September! I feel bad giving it a bad review since the hotel itself was fine with accommodations but I can honestly say I have had better and more relaxing stays in big cities where you expect it to be loud. This was more than just loud - the bar next door was packed and there was a huge line outside the door from 7pm until early morning hours. If you plan to party all night with college kids then this is the perfect location for you!

Dune is a perfect spot for family vacation or a weekend with your partner. The location couldn’t be better…a stones throw from Fairfield Beach. We had private access to this beach and all the things you need for a relaxing day by the shore…beach chairs and towels are available, free of charge. Enjoy a bike ride by the beach (bikes provided). There are casual eateries in the immediate area as well as a liquor store right across the street. The rooms are immaculate and extremely well-appointed. The boho chic vibe is relaxing. We stayed in a 2 BR suite with en suite. One of the best perks was it is pet-friendly. We’ll be back as soon as we can!

Will book again next summer! Nestled in a neighborhood 100ft from the beach! Private access, towels/chairs/umbrellas provided, breakfast shop across the street, Penfield Lighthouse near the shore, fishing along the sandbar, walking distance to Penfield (public)Beach...this place was perfect for us. From our balcony we watched the community enjoying their lives - joggers, fishermen, dogs on morning walks etc. It's a great location for adult relaxation.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the DUNE. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The mattress was particularly comfortable, ensuring great sleep. We loved being just a 2-minute walk from the beach. Breakfast across the street and the nearby bar were perfect for our mornings and evenings. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Though the walls were a bit thin and we could hear the conversations and noise from other rooms, we still had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again.

I had a great stay at Dune Fairfield. The room was clean, comfortable, and well decorated, with everything you need for a short stay. Yes, the property is right next to a well-known local bar, but I knew what to expect and students weren’t around so the noise didn’t bother me. Also I’m a former alum so go stags! I love that there is a new property to stay at now when I do small getaways to Fairfield. It was also in a great position and I will definitely be back!
