Candlewood Suites Fargo South - Medical Center, an IHG Hotel

We have stayed at Candlewood Suites before and this location is in desperate need of attention. Furniture in room was extremely dirty/stained and in poor condition. Cover missing on thermostat. Room not adequately cleaned. Mystery substance found on clock near bed. Staff at front desk was friendly but should have been more professionally dressed to identify they worked at the hotel. Overall appearance of hotel was shabby.

Positive: Location was great. Staff was friendly. Shower was spacious. Negative: Fridge and freezer didn?t work. Sofa had multiple large stains on the cushions. It looked like someone wet themselves. Staff said hotel is waiting for budget to replace couches but assured me they have been shampooed multiple times.

This was a great place for our hockey team to stay. The staff was very kind and accommodating, and the location was convenient for our tournament. The hotel itself was in fair condition and generally clean, and overall it worked well for our group.

The front desk staff were very welcoming and encouraging, even asked if we come back to remember our dog is always welcomed. The room was clean, quiet, and the bed was super comfortable. The pool was warm and my grandson really enjoyed swimming in it. We will definitely stay there again when we are in Fargo.

I gave the service a four star only because of the nice older lady that works evenings. She was kind, friendly, helpful, and informative. A lot of other staff wouldn't even say hi. The rooms were nice, some wear and tear that could use some cleaning such as couches and showers. The room otherwise was nice. Only real complaint was after 8 days I had to walk my trash downstairs because no one had been in the room to empty trash. Maybe check on your other desk staff on occasion. There was a lot more going on than work.

It’s very close to the mall, and driving to downtown and other areas are not bad at all! (You might have to go through lot of Stop signs if you want to go east from the hotel) We actually stayed at this hotel a few years ago and our room was not ready that time and we had to wait…so we were worried it that would happen again but No! Check in was smooth and easy! Our room was clean and the hotel was clean! We didn’t have bad experience! The front desk lady said they do extended stay so if you need to stay for a week or longer, probably this hotel would be a great choice! They had a small fridge plus mini kitchen and microwave:)

Only complaint i have is that the mattresses were shot. 2 adults on the bed, and you both sunk towards the center. Otherwise everything and staff were fantastic.
