We had an amazing stay at The Armstrong Hotel. I hadn’t stayed there in a few years and was excited to stay with my wife and our dog. The Armstrong Hotel did not disappoint! Ed was top notch with getting us all setup. We will definitely be back in a few weeks. Highly recommend this hotel. Great staff and proximity to so many walkable places in the area.
I wanted to like the Armstrong Hotel but quickly learned it was all style and no substance. The front desk gives the appearance of being very attentive and eager to help but when my car sustained $2,000 damage in the hotel's parking lot (hit and run) the manager was M I A. I had wanted some help in determining which red car had backed into my new car leaving me with an unexpected expense. I had been assured by Rosie (front desk clerk) that he would address this issue upon his return from his Christmas holiday and contact me. Now after several weeks and calls to the hotel leaving messages for him, I am still awaiting his email. I am not seeking compensation but merely some aid in finding the thoughtless individual who backed into my car without leaving a note. There does not seem to be any insulation in the walls of the rooms, as I could easily hear my neighbors though the bathroom wall at all hours of the day and night. The manager of the restaurant/bar carded almost everyone coming through the door. She carded the two people accompanying me both who were in their 40's. Ironically, when she left and one of the waitstaff took her place, it was rare to see anyone get carded. I could see this from my table just inside the door. It was just an annoyance to have to stop and get an ID out to prove your age, especially when one of the people in my party was completely bald with a long gray beard. In the bar it was supposedly "Wine Wednesday" but there was no clarification by the waitress that the wine we ordered was not part of the "Happy Hour promotion, so we ultimately paid full price for our glasses of wine. I am not adverse to paying for quality goods and services, but at the Armstrong Hotel I do not feel like it was money well spent.
My partner and I stayed here for a couple nights for our annual in-state staycation and it did not disappoint! The location is perfect. Right in the middle of everything, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping were all right outside. Downtown Fort Collins was super festive for the holidays. The room itself was very spacious. The bed was very comfy with a real duvet, unlike a lot of hotels these days. The in room sound machine and Nespresso were perfect. We got a room with a soaking tub, which was very luxurious after a day of hiking. I’d definitely stay here again!
LOVE this hotel....the ambiance, the food and drinks at Ace Gillett's, the front desk staff.....all 5 stars in my book. The front desk staff makes you feel like you are royalty. They greet you each time you walk in the door, they make you feel like your special and are so helpful with whatever you need. The room was perfect for my husband and I to have 2 cozy nights while we were in Fort Collins for a wedding. Ace Gillett's is a MUST as far as we're concerned. We always sit at a bar when we go to a restaurant because we enjoy the experience of eating at the bar and watching the staff do their thing. The bar staff is incredible at Ace Gillett's. They have all been there for a long time which means they know their stuff and the food.....if I could put a picture of me doing the "chef's kiss", that would explain my feelings.||||You won't be disappointed by your experience at this great hotel and restaurant. We can't wait to go back. We only live 2 hours south of Fort Colins but haven't been up there in about 25 years....and now we have a reason to go back. We love this place.
I thought that the pet fee of $75 and parking fee of $40 were more than comparable properties charge. The shower diverter valve did not work. The mini split unit did not heat the bathroom adequately. There were old steam radiators but they were not functional. No microwave in room or lobby. I liked the bar/restaurant downstairs. The location is great. Complimentary ear plugs were provided. So that’s a clue!
Nice spot downtown foco. We enjoyed a sts9 show at Washington's then stayed at the Armstrong. We had a truly wonderful morning together in the room after the show, special intimate love connection that resonates potent energy thru time. Grateful for the space we held at the Armstrong.
This was our first time staying at the Armstrong Hotel. We were greeted by the very friendly front desk staff and were informed our room had been upgraded. When we arrived in our room there was a very sweet note stating Happy 49th Anniversary! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! ||||You won us over and when we travel to Fort Collins we will stay at the Armstrong Hotel!||||The location is perfect and very convenient to restaurants and walking downtown.
