Holiday Inn Purdue - Fort Wayne by IHG

Trip was good overall, room was clean enough. Amenities were a bit dated. Had an issue where my room key stopped working twice on my trip and had to have the front desk reprogram them. Also a bit disappointed that the "free breakfast" ended up being $12. Also was a bit dissatisfied that my thermostat didn’t work in the room. It ended up snowing during my trip and my room was stuck at 66/67 degrees the whole trip. Didn’t feel like bothering front desk after having to deal with the room keys.

Stayed for two nights in room 423. After the first night, keys deactivated. Had to go ask to activate them again, a minor thing, not a big deal. However, the room smelled a little funky, saw a flea in the bed I was sleeping and came home with a couple of bites. Please, sanitize that room and get rid of the bugs. The bathroom and shower were very good, no complains there.

Check in is 3pm. Get in 10 minutes before 3p. Completely understand we were early. I figured I’d have to wait that. Was told it would be about 20 minutes so asked if we could use the pool while waiting. They approved it. Went back up at 3:45 and was told it was still not ready! I get you don’t know what time people are going to be checking in. But if you say check-in is at three, I should be available. At least we were able to kill time in the pool. Was hoping to use the hot tub, but it’s out of order. So far, not overly impressed.

The hotel itself was fine. We stayed in one of their big suites. Couple lights were out and some of the furniture were broken. For the price I was paying figured that the room would be better taken care of.

Been traveling all week and this was my least favorite place I've stayed. Carpets in the hallway are warped and smells weird. Rooms are old and need updating. Not many outlets in the room. No free continental breakfast. Towel rack is inside the shower. Parking lot needs to be repaved.

For Fort Wayne, the location is great!. Rooms clean, hot tub not in service. Restaurant closed and switched to a lounge... that does not accept credit cards. Plan ahead... this will impact my stays here for the future

This hotel smells like a thrift store. The carpets are disgusting. My room was pretty clean but the water damaged ceilings and mildewed curtains just left me unable to enjoy my stay at all! Overall very disappointed and I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again
