Magnuson Hotel Fort Wayne North

We got to the third floor and got hit with a wave of pot. Granted not the workers fault, but started bad. We were moved to a room on the 1st floor. The floors clearly were not vacuumed, the room smelled funky, there was debris in between the sheets, and best of all, black mold all along behind the beds. Rooms are also very not soundproof. I do not recommend staying here.

More signage is needed from the main street. The room was ok for 1 night. I do hope they renovate the rooms, service the vending machine and answer phones at time of booking. I like the top floors but not without an elevator. I was lucky that the night clerk was able to switch my room. Only problem is that I had to be switched to a queen room. I paid for a king room. No pictures this time.

Our room had a half full water bottle standing on the night table. The microwave was not cleaned. The walls are not sound proof. You could hear people all night long. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.

This is a no-frills hotel.||No maid service unless requested in the morning.|No working refrigerator if the light switch is turned off to a bank of lights.|No facial tissue.|No batteries in the remote.|No iron or ironing board.|No coffee pot or glassware.|No closet.|Our room had a microwave; my mom’s room did not.||You do get the smallest towels I’ve ever seen, one-ply toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner in a packet like a soy sauce packet that you cannot open without a pair of scissors, and zero decor. The ice maker was the smallest I’ve ever seen, too. ||Breakfast: sausage gravy and biscuits, tater tots, Corn Flakes, and Raisin Bran. ||I notice things. Every single orange oak door in the building was stained with a gray gel stain, and I bet the person applying it spent 60 seconds or less on one door. So sloppy.||The woman at the front desk was personable and responsive when I asked for help, and the price was low. You get what you pay for. We have family in Fort Wayne, and we will never return to this hotel.

very nice comfy and clean staff is friendly and work hard for their guests. Great place to stay and quite and around shopping and places to eat... HIGHLY SUGGEST STAYING HERE

This place is not a 5 star hotel but definitely a 3 star hotel/motel. Its way better than other local hotels that are total catfish from how they look online. This place is relatively clean and much appreciated for the price value. You don’t smell smoke and no issues with bugs or any unsanitary situations. I would recommend it if you are on a budget like I am.
