Tropic Lodge

This place reminds me of the EconoLodge’s of the 90’s and early 2000’s. Cheap, clean, great service. If you just need a clean room with great service and people who care, this is the place. You cannot beat the prices here and the people are nice and they want you to have a good stay with them. And it is SAFE. Outside is well-lit and the front desk can see everyone who comes in and out of the parking lot. Kudos to the owners for their integrity.

The hotel facade is not anything to write about but don't let this deter you from booking. The hotel is 25 minutes to OCCPA where we needed to be for a wedding. I picked the hotel because it was reasonably priced and had decent reviews. The parking lot is free of clutter and the room is extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable and so are the pillows. While the room had a small refrigerator, a microwave, a pretty large TV and excellent air conditioning it didn't have a blow driver and had very minimalistic toiletries which included 1 small soap bar and a couple of shampoo sachet packs. I'm not sure if this was made clear on the webpage when I booked but it is very minor; I just wished I paid attention to it so could have brought my own )I have long hair that needs conditioner and I tend to like my hair styled before going out). The one thing that was a bit of a bummer is the pool; it's a small pool but that's not the issue. It was that it wasn't open and it didn't state that on the website. I've had a few experience like this where small boutique hotels don't keep it open. It would be better if they would have some sort of disclosure on the web that would say what months it's functional so there's no disappointments. |For the price I paid and the comfort of the room it exceeded my expectation, I give it a 4 star.

Clean and friendly staff not my typical hotel but its what was available last meet to go bar hopping in Anaheim near by definitely worth the distance other then that TV could use more options but I was surprised how clean it was definitely recommend.

Quiet place and good spot to reach other towns. We chose a room with two beds and it had a wide sink area. The bathroom was small and the door touched the toilet which made it hard to close a bit, but overall the experience was great. The blankets were warm and the heater was nice.

Although the rooms are dated the customer service beyond made up for it, they cleaned the room and kept it well stocked everyday. House keeping is well organized. There's no breakfast included but the location puts you within a mile of many stores and restaurants. Pricing was fair give the location being close to the theme parks.

Great motel for the price. Comfy beds, AC unit keeps the room super cool, safe location, TV with direct TV and a decent bathroom. Perfect budget motel near with a 13 min drive to Disneyland.
