The Glenmark, Glendale, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

January 2025: Stayed here for two nights and enjoyed my stay. I read a review about not getting the full credit (platinum bonvoy members get $20 credit) for breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. That happened to me but I submitted a request through Marriott and it got resolved). Rooms are good size and comfortable. Bed and pillows were comfortable. HVAC was good and quiet. I was able to hear guests talking next door... But thankfully they didn't talk loudly often. Valet parking only. Location is about a twenty minute walk from the Glendale Americana mall where there are more options for food and drinks. Overall, nice hotel and would stay here again.

Marriott really needs to evaluate this property and ensure it actually represents the brand its members expect. I honestly don’t understand how Google lists this as a 5-star hotel — at best it’s a 2-star experience. The "king" bed is clearly a queen, not a king. The shower enclosure is poorly designed, without full glass coverage, so water leaks everywhere — even into the floor below, which required maintenance to inspect. The bathroom workmanship overall was very poor. Considering the price they charge, guests expect a proper Marriott-level stay. Instead, this felt closer to a basic roadside hotel than a premium property

The hotel was okay. Nothing extraordinary for the price or location. Rooms need some TLC. Restaurants are good, but a little pricey. But let me tell you the highlight! Alondra who worked up front was PHENOMENAL. We visited for my sister’s wedding and when I tell you she took care of us, she did. Five stars just for her, she was professional, helpful, and went out of her way to ensure our stay, and my sister’s wedding festivities were wonderful and seamless! Truly she ensured that all ours and our guests needs were attended to. A true professional!

Nice cozy place with great service. Rooms are always clean, staff was always friendly and the early morning valet was a gem! He always had my car ready for me when I stepped out every morning.

I have been a returning guest at this hotel many times, but this stay was very disappointing. We booked for three nights, and I arrived early knowing that check-in is normally at 4:00 p.m., but sometimes rooms are available sooner. I was told to wait, even though the front desk already took full payment and deposit. What frustrated me most is that while I waited for over two hours, I saw at least three other guests—who arrived much later than me—receive their keys immediately. When I finally questioned the staff, they claimed they had "upgraded" my room and that’s why it wasn’t ready. This did not feel like an upgrade, but rather an excuse after forgetting about me. The entire experience was unwelcoming, unprofessional, and honestly rude. As someone who has stayed here many times before, this was very disappointing. It feels like guests are not treated equally, and I no longer feel valued at this hotel.

Moses was nothing short of amazing. He went out of his way to make sure the check-in process was seamless and smooth. He answered all of our questions and was more than accommodating throughout our stay.

Modern, well-renovated, but was expecting slightly more from a 5-star hotel. Rooms are a bit small, and the furniture has seen better days. For the price it is not bad.
