Hale Koa Hotel

This beautiful establishment is for the military members and retirees etc. The service is top notch from the food down to the staff. My husband and I stayed there for about 10 days. The food is just wonderful. The only thing I believe would make it better would be for them to consider building a larger gym. It's too congested for people who want to workout when not using the weights heck when you're using weights as well. It's just not enough room. Hopefully, they may see this post and realize what needs to be done. I can definitely say this hotel is NOT for frugal individuals for sure. If you're trying to enjoy everything you have to be ready to drop some $$$$!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hale Koa, the room was perfect for what we needed and we couldn’t beat our ocean view. We had prime viewing for Friday night fireworks! We loved how beautiful the grounds were kept and how friendly the staff we did encounter were as well. Our family enjoyed the pool and barefoot bar in the evenings. The bartenders are strict but super friendly and made delicious drinks. The bar by the pool was fast and friendly as well and the drinks were beautiful and fun for the kids too. Having the BX onsite was such a lifesaver. We would have absolutely loved having a refrigerator or microwave, nevertheless a cooler bought at the BX was our friend for a week. Food options onsite aren’t horrible, nor the best, but totally convenient and specials daily are great after a long day outside having fun. If you aren’t part of the Hale Koa facebook groups definitely join them for helpful tips, freebies and other good info! The Hale Koa is completely walkable and in a great spot thats near everything. What a great location. Although I haven’t stayed overnight, I frequent the hotel as it’s got a great open area and the food is excellent. If you’re here in the morning, try it for breakfast or a coffee on the lanai and Bibas Courtyard Grill is a great dinner option. The location can’t be beat as it’s right on the beach and has a great view of fireworks show.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Hale Koa. The atmosphere and location are unbeatable, but what really stood out was how genuinely helpful and welcoming the staff were. From the moment I walked into reception, I felt safe and at ease. As a former military member, that level of comfort doesn’t come easily in most places, yet I felt it the entire time we were here. The team gave us great advice and local tips, which made exploring even better. The pool area and splash pad were perfect for our kids so they had a blast every day. The bar was excellent, the food was great, and everything about the property felt well cared for and thoughtfully run. Hale Koa gave my family a memorable, relaxing experience, and we’ll definitely be returning.

AMAZING resort for military families. My husband and I stayed here and had an amazing time. There’s lots of kids around but they have multiple separate adult only spaces so don’t hesitate to come here just as a couple! It was so relaxing. The location couldn’t be better, food was great and reasonably priced. Good amenities and spa. Good service. Good PRICE. Will definitely be back!

We stayed here for ten days and had an amazing time. In our time on the island we went through the Hilton and the Ritz on the North Shore and neither compared to the Hale Koa. The grounds at the Hale Koa are impeccable and every employee we encountered was extremely nice. This hotel has absolutely everything you could possibly need from your morning coffee, doughnuts (better than Leonard’s), breakfast bowls at Happy’s, a breakfast buffet overlooking the ocean, dinner at Biba’s (which has fantastic steak and lobster), views right from the poolside, a view of the Hilton fireworks (Friday), and a store that has everything you could need from souvenirs, sunscreen, beach chairs, jewelry and more all tax free. The staff was on top of everything, even down to wiping the woodwork in the halls. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Thank you for the memories!

10/10 recommend this hotel if youre eligible. The luau show was great as well! Very great customer service from all staff. Plus the prices at the bar and mini nex you just cant beat for waikiki
