Waikiki Sand Villa

The hotel has over the last couple of years been refurbished by new owners. The pool area is now better maintained and has dedicated staff who are present at all times. The pool is large snd nicely situated. The point of difference is the shade provided by numerous umbrellas and some shade trees. There is also bar and food service to your deckchair. The rooms are midsized suitable for two people and have a good sized lanai. Beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom is compact with shower over bath. Room lighting is dimmable and kettle available upon request. A safe is provided. A criticism would be the small fridge, 6 cans, a milk and a couple of yoghurts is about it. This is the best budget end hotel in Waikiki but budget still unfortunately isn't cheap these days. Overall an enjoyable stay with pool crew being the icing on the cake.

Service and staff are great Rooms are not, many parts look like a landlord special coat of thick paint. Elevator makes weird noises, ac can't keep the room cool, door has paint over damage, screen doors don't lock, flooring is warped, bed had blood stains, bathroom toilet leaked the whole time 24/7. Rooms are small, lack any noise insulation too. Its not terrible i mean their weren't any bugs, but the property is charging for a premium they don't deliver.

Not recommended for families, not a typical family hotel. It is small and boutique as advertised. Only one lift working during our visit and used by everyone including household staff, long waits and usually full. They appear to have strict rules and did not feel comfortable walking freely around the hotel, always felt like we were being watched. I would not stay here again and would not recommend the hotel to people with young kids.

For our recent trip to Hawaii, we chose the Poolside Suite at Wayfinder Waikiki — and it was such a great choice.The room was spacious, beautifully decorated in a tropical, laid-back style, and had direct access to the pool right from the terrace. It honestly felt like our own private villa!The pool area is small but super stylish and peaceful — perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee. ☕️The staff were all incredibly friendly, and the whole vibe of the hotel felt very local and welcoming.One thing to note: it’s a little bit of a walk from the main strip of Waikiki, but that also means it’s quieter and more relaxing.If you’re looking to enjoy both the beach and a cool hotel experience, this is a great place to stay!

Positive: The relaxed atmosphere Negative: The floors in my room were very sloped and there is no elevator for the poolside rooms; I could not get a luggage rack for my suitcase as there were no more available; and the food menu could be expanded a bit to have more kid friendly options

Less than impressed. The entire hotel is going under major renovations and it was not advertised as such on their website. There was only one small mirror in the entire room. A/C does not go lower than 74 degrees F during the day and 72 degrees F at night. There are a lot of added fees at check in. There is also only valet parking ($40 a night). Food service was also not available. The buildings around it are run down as well. I'm not sure how this hotel was rated so well when it definitely was not. The valet drivers were nice. Your room does not get cleaned until every 4 days. They did say if you wanted it cleaned, they would need a 24 hour notice

We had a great experience here. We stayed 5 nights and the interaction with all staff was great. Valet team was great and our car was always waiting on us. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool/ hot tub area was clean and enjoyable. Just a two block walk to restaurants, shops & the beach! Will definitely stay again 🙂
