Hotel Irving DFW Airport South

We rented a room through VRBO because of the ice/sleet storm and we were stranded in Dallas. This property was the living example of a ROACH MOTEL! A sign at the front door asked us not to bring our grocery carts inside. This was the first clue that it was not a typical motel. The front office woman took my ID, frowned at it and called someone. She looked at my ID for a full 5 minutes and wouldn’t return it. Very strange… Absolutely no eye contact from her either. The hallways were dirty, the elevator was slow and creaky, and our room smelled heavily of smoke. The baseboards in the room were filthy (flood or cigarette smoke?) The sheets had a red stain, the furniture was broken and there were roaches. At 3am a couple had a prolonged verbal and physical fight with banging doors. We couldn’t call the front desk because the phone was not functional- all the buttons were pushed in. Overall it was a frightening and unsafe situation. Because of the weather, we felt trapped in our decision to stay at the motel. We left as soon as we could in the morning and spent the whole day in the airport- better than that hovel. I have made a complaint to the BBB and VRBO. I don’t think anything will come of it, but hopefully others will have the time and opportunity to see this before you book.

Great value for the money. The location, speed of check in and check out, customer service, Wi-Fi were great. Good A/C. Free parking. Building is old and could use renovation. Lights are dim. Elevator is very slow. Just one small soap and one small shampoo in the restroom. Nothing additional such as shaving razors, lotions. Washing machines are coin-op but there is no change machine.

I was asking questions to the man who is the receptionist and he fully ignored me. Made me feel sooo uncomfortable. I saw he made it on purpose. The rooms are 10/10. The water in the bathtub was incredibly hot with no cold water option. Almost burned.

This was unquestionably the worst place I have ever stayed in worldwide. The pillow, towel and bathtub were all dirty, and the drain stopper was broken. Additionally, I was nearly charged an uninformed fee of US$35 for being just 5 minutes late at check-out.

The price seemed to good to be true so I had no high expectations. I arrived late and from the parking lot I did not feel the safest. The person checking me in was not very nice and then wanted me to leave a $50.00 cash deposit kept telling me no smoking, no pets etc he kept my license as I had no cash, it was around 1am and I was leaving at 7am. I arrived at the second floor and the stairs and the whole second floor wreaked of marijuana and cigarettes so I was not sure why he was so adamant about no smoking as you could have gotten high in the hallways. The room was dirty the bathroom was dirty and there were stains on the towels and the beds overs and sheets. The plugs did not work I went to sleep took quick shower and left quickly in the morning.

got up to our room and the window was broken letting in cold air, tables flipped, glass and mirror shattered everywhere. management insisted the room was cleaned. we walked across the street to motel 6.

If I could not give a star I would. Do not stay here. They are breaking federal laws. They require documents for my service dogs. That is against the law. Only 2 questions can be ask. 1 is that a service dog? 2 does the dog perform a task for my disability. That's all. There is not ever papers or documentations or id card for a service animal. This business broke ADA laws. All 3 people wanted documentation. I tried to educate them and was told I must have documentation.
