Hyatt House Dallas/Las Colinas

Im suprised at the poor reviews, this is a with hotel, with nice suits with lock of bedrooms and a well appointed kitchen. The staff was friendly and efficent. The only suggestion would be to pressure wash the outdoor walkways, they look dirty and age the hotel 10 years. The fitness center is well maintained as well as the outdoor pool. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family and will return here when I come back for buisness!

Positive: This hotel is in a great location, close to shopping and restaurants, easy access to the interstate Negative: The coverlet on the bed had a large circular stain on it. I could tell it had been washed, but the stain was unseemly. Also, there was only one washcloth, hand towel and bath towel. We requested an additional set of towels but never received them.

I booked this place, then read the reviews and got very nervous. After staying, it wasn't nearly as bad as I feared- but could also definitely use some TLC. With some remodeling and better maintenance this place could be amazing. We'll start with the Pros: was nice to book a room that held my family of 8. I believe the price was fair considering the size of the room and the quality. The King size bed was comfortable, and over-all feel of the room was ok. The grounds and set up of the place was very nice. Cons: We stayed 2 nights, and longer we stayed, the more "yuck" we found. Easy to fix things is cleanliness- the room wasn't horrible- but really needed a cleaning on sides and behind the bed side tables. Garbage and crumbs resided there. Stains in the carpet, sofa couch needs replaced, all 6 of my kids complained of the double beds and couch bed not being comfy. I encountered a couple "baby" cockroaches, and the bathroom sink was clogged and drained slowly. Over-all our experience wasn't horrible, but wasn't amazing either. The breakfast was "meh". Maybe a good option if you are looking to save money with a large family. The attached pics were the worst of it- sorry I forgot to take pics of the good features too! I have been coming here for years for work trips and I have watched the rooms, furniture, and pride in the place go downhill. It’s a really cool area and I love that it’s like a little apartment with separate bedrooms. Unfortunately the furniture is breaking, the floors are stained, and the bathroom are clearly in need of a remodel. Last year when I stayed an entire shower was out of order and they didn’t bother to tell us that before we go into the room. The rooms have been showing more and more lack of repairs. My most recent stay was the first where I felt it wasn’t clean. Visible stains on the doors and walls. Also my bed had no blanket, just an extra sheet on top. The price for the two bedroom room was 140 and I felt like I wasn’t getting what I payed for despite the spacious room due to the disrepair and cleanliness. I am sad to see the place going downhill.

The rooms were very nice here, it does seem there are a bit outdated, however they we still very clean and had all amenities needed. We did ask the staff at the front about the Jacuzzi not working, and when it would be fixed a few different times with the answer "I don't know, I'd assume it's still broken." Without even calling the maintenance team or making an effort to find the info for us. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay. The breakfast was good, the workout room was nice, the rooms were quiet and accommodated my needs for work easily. This facility is in safe walking distance of a lot of really good food establishments, and we even saw some wild rabbits on the premises because of the small creek nearby. I would definitely suggest staying here and will be back again if the need arises.

I stayed here a couple of times in 2025. The location is great and the layout of the hotel is great. The basketball court was good. However, this hotel needs updates in some aspects. 1. Needs room update. Floor carpets, furnitures, kitchens, and restrooms should be updated (remodeled) one by one. Much stains on carpets. These are minor things. 2. Staffs could be more kind. Some of them didn’t recognize the globalist status. That was okay but not kind (it doesn’t mean rude) attitude made me feel bad little bit. 3. There were something from previous customers in the refrigerator and not towels at all when we checked-in. An alcohol bottle was inside. The complex was really good. In the morning, you can feel like you are in a good resort. With some upgrades, this hotel will be really attractive for many. Thanks.

I had a confirmed reservation through my company’s travel agent, but upon arrival, I was told there were no rooms available. The staff simply stated, "Sorry, we’re overbooked." This happened after thunderstorms caused widespread flight cancellations across the DFW area, leaving most nearby hotels full. My travel agent worked tirelessly to secure me a room and sent me a confirmed reservation for this Hyatt House. After paying for a rideshare from the airport, I arrived—tired and hopeful—but was turned away. I wasn’t the only one; I listened to the poor guy at the counter deliver the same message to several other travelers that had "reservations." While I understand overbooking can sometimes be outside a property’s direct control, this experience was deeply frustrating and disappointing. It has left me questioning the reliability of Hyatt’s booking practices and whether I can trust the brand for future travel.
