If you're looking for a hotel with a pretty facade and easy beach access, Margaritaville Resort might catch your eye. The lobby is beautifully designed, and the beach views are indeed lovely. However, beyond the aesthetics, the experience quickly falls short. Firstly, while the resort aims to impress with its style, the amenities are lacking. The pillows are excessively plush and offer almost no support, so you end up needing to stack them just to get any comfort. There are no vending machines or convenient water options, and there’s no complimentary breakfast, which is another letdown for guests. Moreover, there’s no laundry service—just a pay-to-use laundry room on the fourth floor. And there’s no room service or food delivery from the kitchen, which makes dining in quite inconvenient. Additionally, the shower is a hassle to use, with difficulty adjusting the temperature. The elevator system is also inconvenient. To access floors above the lobby, you must scan your wristband. If you wear it on your wrist, you have to bend over awkwardly to reach the scanner. If you remove it and scan it separately, it’s still a hassle. It’s just another layer of inconvenience that detracts from the overall experience. In summary, the resort’s style doesn’t compensate for the lack of comfort and practicality. It’s a beautiful place, but at its core, it falls short of delivering a satisfying guest experience.

The location is probably the biggest positive here. The place has a nice facade, butbwe felt it was just that. The room we were put in was not what we requested and when we asked about a different one, they claimed to be fully booked, yet the place felt very empty. The walls are paper thin and you'll hear everything around you. I will give them this..... It seemed very clean.

I unfortunately suffer from a OCD case of cleanness (diagnosed by my family and friends) Every time I rent a hotel Im terrified its going to be another towel on the shower floor, shoes on, sleepless night kind of place. Not this time! The room was perfect! Beds, bathroom and even seats were spotless. It has clean floors instead of carpet. Im really so so impressed with this hotel I wish there was one in every place I want to visit. The service was top-notch. The parking wasn't so great because its an expensive valet or fight for a spot on the sides. We lucked out both times. The food, we didnt have the chance to try because we stayed for one night. We did stop at the bar in the way to the room amd grabbed a drink to sip in the balcony. In the morning we woke to a great view and a hot coffee cup from the room bar. If you want a clean room, great view, great service or simply a good staycation this is the hotel to stay at.

The hotel itself was clean, and we liked the location. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my Kate Spade laptop bag in the room after checkout. I contacted the hotel shortly after and was told nothing had been turned in following housekeeping. I followed up several times and left a message for the manager simply to confirm whether it may have been turned in elsewhere or if there were any additional steps that could be taken, but I never received a response. I also tried reaching out on social media without success. Because of this, I wouldn’t feel comfortable staying here again and would recommend being cautious about leaving valuables in the room.

Spent 3 days at the resort with my 2 sisters. It was very accommodating and the staff was professional and kind. The room was prefect and the view was the best. Got to see the sunrise and then set from our balcony. The room was very clean. The oceanfront balcony provided a view and atmosphere of Pure Bliss. The resort is located on the beautiful Jacksonville Beach close to great restaurants and shops. It also has a bar and restaurant which we did not use, but I have heard great things about this as well.

We had a college tour in Jacksonville and sense we usually stay in the Margaretville in Hollywood / Fort Lauderdale area we thought we would try the one in Jacksonville. It's off season and we understand that but all amenities and hospitality should be the same as high season. ||The staff, lack luster at best. Valet hardly even looked at us, let alone open doors or offer to assist in anyway. We are not those people, we don't need that type of service, but when you pay $27 a night for valet you expect something more and its nice if offered. The service at the Cafe was hit or miss. Not much eye contact and defiantly didn't appreciate me asking for my latte to be made extra hot or my bagel toasted extra. Im sorry but the first latte was lukewarm at best and all 4 of us said the bagels were not toasted at all. I had to speak up, bagels and coffee alone cost us over $45.00. It has to be done right. Check in was OK but it's low season and we asked to not be near people, light sleepers. So they put us with an adjoining room, door that locks but that connects as needed. We heard everything, crying child and gentlemen going nuts over a football game. Again, common sense would tell you, especially with an empty hotel, mention of light sleepers, not to put us directly next to a room that was adjoining. Even at high season at the Margaretville in Hollywood they go out of their way to put us at the end of the hall and usually next to a maintenence room or something so we can sleep peacefully. It's not hard to do but this place just didn't want to do anything. ||The food options, especially at the Cafe, non existent. Our only other option was the main restaraunt, Land Shark but that doesnt open until 11am. The oven at the Cafe, the breakfast place and grab and go selections, was broken so not the usual pizzas, and breakfast sandwiches were available. So we get it, things happen however you should then pivot and offer something else for all quick to go meals, especially breakfast. There was no acai bowls, fruit, no pastries except for very old red velvet and blueberry muffins, no cereal selection, protein bars, etc. They had 2 pre made salads, cheese sticks, a salami and cheese tray and yogurt. I'm a type one diabetic and other then cheese sticks or meat and cheese tray, I had zero non carb options for breakfast. It was bagels or English muffins. We are use to the other Margaretville property that had ample selection, even with a broken oven. It was very odd for a higher end hotel brand. Someone had commented on the coffee and I agree. Crazy cost, $5.00 for black coffee. I made black coffee in our room, no way I'm spending $5.00 on regular coffee. Between the cost and lack of amenities at the Cafe, it was a real bummer. ||We also noted that during high season this place might be over packed with people. The lobby area is really nice, as is the restaurant, bar and Cafe. However I imagine with a full hotel the lines, wait time, and seating might be a problem. The pool area is also very small and I would not want to fight to get a chair around the pool if the hotel was busy / during high season. ||Overall, I think we ruled this Margaretville property out. If our daughter ends up going to college here, we will find another property. Makes me sad, but management needs to care. Overall they seem checked out at this Margaretville property. ||We are a Margaretville perks family but booked this trip late and through a 3rd party vendor. Something to know is you only get points, perks if you book directly from the hotel. That was my mistake.

The room was beautiful and clean. Although we was told they don't make the beds the next day, odd. Parking was very bad hard to find a spot at night. But the view off the beach was beautiful!! Although you have to pay$ 2 to walk the pier..
