We were visiting family for several days in Jacksonville and found this B&B decorated beautifully for Christmas. The breakfast was very good and such a friendly atmosphere. We stayed in the carriage house, which was a nice room with a beautiful en suite, bathroom and enjoyed the convenient parking.

Eric is the real deal. He patiently answered my questions before booking and was flexible with an early check-in. The house is about 130 years old, beautifully maintained, and located in a charming, walkable neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants nearby. My room was spacious, spotless, and full of character. Breakfast was outstanding. Eric greeted me with fresh French press coffee and made me avocado toast with eggs and perfectly crisp bacon to order. The menu had other great options as well. Hailey, the housekeeper, was also very kind and helpful. You will not regret staying here.

We stayed two nights, just to "get away". Checking in was simple… Ring the doorbell! A voice provides the code to the door. "Let us know if you need anything." Find our key on the desk, and find our way upstairs. Took a minute to find the room. The room was quite comfortable. Separate HVAC unit with a remote control. Large, comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with modern fixtures and floor-to-ceiling marble. There was a small desk, the usual mini fridge. Note: Our room overlooked the parking area and there was PLENTY of light from outside. Even with the shutters closed, it wasn’t all that dark. Also, there wasn’t a comfortable place to sit. Nothing where I could imagine reading a book, for example. There was a rather large give-take library in the hall. But, again, except for the chairs in the office area, I didn’t find anyplace comfortable to just sit and read. No real "parlor". So, nice place to spend the night… not a great place to just hang out. Breakfast was good… Decent menu. Your choice of Eggs/omelettes. Blueberry pancakes. Avocado toast. All prepared to order. Checking out was as easy as checking in. Here’s the key… Great, we’ll email you re final charges.

We enjoyed our tea room experience for my birthday! Alexa’s service was top tier and we enjoyed all of the food including the egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches it was hard to pick a favorite. Beautiful presentation and the atmosphere was calm. A lovely experience if you’re wanting to do something different with family and friends.

From making reservations to checking out and everything in between, the hospitality of Eric, Mikey, and Michelle at the Riverdale Inn was outstanding. My room was comfortable, quiet, with easily controllable a/c, and the walk-in shower was roomy with good water pressure and a nice large shower head. You can not go wrong with anything on the breakfast menu, it was all plentiful and delicious (esp pecan waffles!). Great tea and coffee too! The location is ideal and the other guests were also social/friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay, bravo!

Great atmosphere!!!! Love, love, loved it. However it was a little off putting for the young lady serving us to put a bowl of cream on the table and say here is your clotted cream. IT WAS NOT CLOTTED CREAM. It was some kinda whipped cream mixture. It would have been better if she had said here is some cream for your scones. The quality of the sandwiches could have been better. There was still some crust left on some of the tea sandwiches. The pastries need an upgrade to match the atmosphere. There was no petty fours or nothing decadent on this tier. The scones were kinda flat, with a slight rise the taste was okay but we do eat with our eyes. But overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was very nice and accommodating.

My husband and I went to tea on Wednesday and had a lovely time. Our host was overly and fully explained how our team experience would proceed. We each had our own pot of the tea of our choosing. I always like when I can pick my tea. The food presentation was very nice and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the chicken salad and the cucumber sandwiches. Our tea was interrupted by a leak in the ceiling. Water started dripping on our table from running down the wall that our table was against. I went and told our hostess and when we got back into the dining another leak started with water running our of a ceiling light. After suggesting she get a bucket or something to catch the water, which she did we were moved to another table and were able to finish our tea. The hostess and maintenance man were very apologetic and did not hurry us to leave. We were almost done so we left shortly after. Would highly recommend the tea experience here. Sometimes stuff just happens but it was handled well and we are eager to come back again
