The Kalamazoo House Downtown Hotel & Suites

A wonderful and charming bed-and-breakfast in downtown Kalamazoo. They have a number of unique add on services, including in-house massage, gift packages, and in room breakfast. This made it easy to treat ourselves during our weekend away. It was a short vacation getaway during a cold winter and we greatly enjoyed the large soaking tub. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the area! Breakfast was delicious on both days and the ambience of the location was great for a romantic getaway. Our host was always easy to reach via text and it is clear that the owners put a lot of care and love into this place.

Beautifully decorated Christmas trees with twinkling white lights, delicious gingerbread, warm cozy bed with soft, luxurious linens in front of a toasty fireplace, delicious 2 course breakfast with steaming coffee- a wonderful way to pamper yourself during the holidays! I decided to book a solo trip and treat myself, before I focus on everyone else and it has made such a difference.||The owners are friendly, warm and welcoming and generously upgraded me, due to a minor issue with my original room. You can sense the history and past conversations in the walls, as well as the effort and pride the owners give to this beautiful residence.||Thank you for all of your hard work and for sharing the Inn, so others can experience a rare glimpse of a previous era. Kalamazoo’s own Gilded Age!

This was such a wonderful experience. From walking in and being greeted in such a warm and friendly manner, through lovely breakfasts, snacks and cookies, relaxing in the large hot tub and on the extremely comfortable bed with the fireplace and huge TV, it was an incredible time and we will be back. We also opted for the popcorn, massage and wine mixing experience and they were all so amazing. Definitely recommend everything!! Thank you all for the perfect escape ❤️

This was our 2nd stay at the Kalamazoo House and it did not disappoint! The house and hosts are so inviting. The spaces are clean, with excellent attention to details. Breakfast and cookies in our room were delicious. The location was perfect to do a little shopping and dining. We look forward to coming again soon!

We came to Kalamazoo to see a concert and decided to try our first B&B. We were pleasantly surprised by the scale of the house, every room was very large. The house is kept in pristine condition and we really appreciated the architectural details on the property. Our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is not to be missed. We did skip the first morning because we had such a late night at the concert but ate every other morning we were there. They have a sweet and savory option available along with an evening cookie that was delicious. The owners were very hospitable, but there was no pressure to interact/participate in conversation, which is perfect for a couple of introverts like us. Overall we would absolutely stay here again.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here! The staff were friendly and communicative, our room was beautiful and spacious, the historical building is a delight to experience (it kind of felt like traveling back in time), and the location was ideal for walking around downtown Kalamazoo.

Our one night stay was absolutely perfect! Amy is such a fantastic host. She greeted us and even helped us carry our 50 pound pieces of luggage to our room. This is a gorgeous property and was a special place for us to stay. The room was very nice with a super comfy bed and luxe linens. Amy recommended a wonderful place for dinner in downtown and we enjoyed the close proximity of dining and shops within walking distance. My husband enjoyed playing the piano that was in the cozy living room after our dinner. In the morning, Amy prepared us a delicious to- go breakfast since we had to leave early. It was so good and that was so kind of her to do that. We would highly recommend the Kalamazoo House to anyone and we would gladly come back again when we are in Michigan the next time.
