Tru by Hilton Lafayette River Ranch

The staff were friendly. The hotel and room was up to date. The basic amenities in the room. Coffee and hot water for tea in the lobby only. I will only say the floor in the room was a lil sticky. We enjoyed our stay.

Positive: "" Negative: Location shown is wrong. Pool so cloudy, you couldn’t see the bottom. Hair all over sheets, mold growing on shower hose with major stream of water shooting out the side, no decorative shade, hoely plastic white shade won’t open, floor very dirty.

Not the best...not the worst...my room was clean and well stocked with towels and such.... toilet paper is not the best at all....but getting to the hotel can be tricky if you are not paying attention.... pay attention to the directional arrows and the curvature of the concrete -----the hotel is kinda shares a parking lot off the street with other businesses....Basic room-- strictly sleep and shower and go.....no lounge chair. No closet. No safe. There is a little cube shelf between the queen beds.. beds have 1 mattress no box spring on a frame NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL. Dorm fridge on the floor.. (need a good back or are 3ft 2 inches tall then you can open and close fridge with no problem) no microwave, noisy footsteps when walking around in the room. This could possibly be safety issue... if someone slips---' the corners of these beds could be a EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT 🙄

The plus side: it’s an affordable Hilton Hotel located in River Ranch. This puts it very close to some of Lafayette’s best destinations. The down side: it looks and feels very affordable 1. We arrived, and the amazing staff (Roxanne) worked to ensure that our rooms would be on the same floor. 2. We got to the rooms and learned that they go for a minimalist, IKEA type of vibe. No cabinets or drawers. Just some hanging space and racks. 3. Breakfast was somewhat complicated as there is a single pancake maker that everyone is waiting to use. Moreover, it’s an overly complex machine that takes minutes to deliver a single, small, pancake (most people are trying to get 2-3 of these so the wait time multiplied drastically) 4. Wood floors make it possible to hear anything that is happening over your room, so top floor is actually the best option. 5. The gym is a nice touch and there are plenty of water bottle filling stations. Overall, you get what you pay for, and Tru by Hilton is no exception. However, the customer support staff is top tier, working with a smile to ensure that everyone gets what they need.

My cat and I really enjoyed our stay at Tru by Hilton Lafayette River Ranch. This area of Lafayette is beautiful and the hotel is near lots of stores and restaurants. There is a Fresh Market and Natural Grocers nearby and the hotel is right behind Carrabba's. The rooms are basic but have everything you need for a short stay. There are mini-fridges in the room that are super cold. The beds are firm and comfortable. Blain at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Check in was a breeze. I definitely recommend this hotel if you find yourself in Lafayette. I didn't get to utilize the pool or the fireplace, but would have liked to enjoy them if I had more time. Also, the lobby is nice with lots of spots to work from and even has a pool table. There is 24/7 coffee and hot water. Thanks Tru by Hilton Lafayette River Ranch. I appreciate your hospitality!

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. From the front desk staff to the kitchen and housekeeping team, everyone was extremely professional, friendly, and attentive. The front desk was always helpful and welcoming, the kitchen staff prepared delicious meals with great care, and the housekeeping team kept everything perfectly clean and organized. You can really feel the teamwork and dedication in every detail. I truly appreciate the excellent service and would definitely recommend this place to everybody.

Sad to say our experience was pretty bad. Checked in room and pulled back covers, saw something dark underneath the mattress sheet and was like what is that. Pulled the sheet up and on the mattress pad was dried blood. This left me and my husband, completely disgusted, went downstairs and waited for about five minutes or longer for someone to come to the desk. When I showed her the picture she she first responded with the question what did you pull the sheets off? I was like well I saw something under the sheet and was like what is that? So she did relocate us to another room where the sheets were clean. But to be questioned on me, pulling off the fitted sheet was just wrong. Secondly, having a mattress cover with dried blood was unacceptable. Bathroom was clean, walls are paper thin, we could hear the lady in the room next to us on her phone having conversations late into the night & early in the morning. Highly recommend if you want a good nights sleep to avoid this hotel.
