Wyndham Lake Charles

Room was quiet, clean and dark with the curtains drawn. Staff super pleasant. Located very near casinos. Only complaint was that the toilet seat wiggled a little and you had to stretch for the tissue. Very minor considering the cost savings over nearby hotels.

Just a warning! Do NOT stay here. Booked a room through Priceline for a night stay. Hotel seemed decent online. We arrived at 5pm and our room still was not ready. Was asked by the receptionist how many towels would we need as the towels were drying still. Finally got our room key. Walked off the elevator to a hallway full of dirty laundry. Got into our room and there’s no towels, toiletries etc. The bathroom door does not close right nor does it lock, AC does not cool properly. Still did not receive any towels. We went to an event and still nothing when we returned. Called receptionist multiple times with no answer. Went downstairs to ask for our towels. She’s nowhere to be seen. After about 10 minutes of waiting she finally peeks around the corner. Let her know that we still didn’t have towels and she wanted to argue. She said that they had gotten behind. She gave me her GM’s number as she said that they weren’t under corporate as it’s privately owned. We shouldn’t have to chase down the receptionist for service, our necessities should have been available when we arrived. Never again will we stay here. Hotel is decent but service sucks.

Positive: The room was clean and comfortable. Negative: There was attitude from the desk girl when I asked about a few things:1. Our room needed handsome, after which she said "There should be something there". There was none which is why I asked. Wifi didn't work in our room, only in hallway.

You get what you pay for I guess and this was one of the cheaper rates in Lake Charles. The building is older and needs upkeep: multiple bulbs burnt out in my room and the elevator broke while I was here. The window shades were also in need of repair. Service: I forgot contact lense solution so I called the front desk to purchase some, but they didn’t have any. Had to wait quite a while to get checked-in as well. Location is not far from the casinos, which is nice, and the nightly rate was inexpensive, so not all is negative. Also the pillows were soft and the bed was decent.

My husband and myself stayed here for one night on business and the stay was very unpleasant. The first room looked as if the bed had been slept in already. The toilet had hair on the seat and there was poop still on the toilet. There also were hair strands on the bed. The heater wouldn’t work and the room was freezing as it’s winter outside. We went down to let the front desk know and she offers us another room. The second room had a moldy smell upon entering and the tub/shower floor was dirty. The elevator had dust on the doors and you could see where someone had written in the dust with their fingers. Please take my word and save your money because this hotel(more like a motel) is not worth it. We DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

The security deposit was $100 added onto the price of the room. This is something that should be posted on the website or told before they swipe the card.Thought I was saving money getting a room here. The resort only charges $50 just go there. They have a restaurant and bar but they lost their liquor license so it’s never open.

Elevator not working upon arrival. Carried luggage up to the third floor. No water pressure in room. No hot water in room. No soap in room. Very poorly stocked breakfast cold bar. People had to keep asking for items from front desk. Room was clean however. Expected more for the cost.
