Lancaster Arts Hotel

My husband and I are locals. We bought a gift certificate for a one night stay at a benefit auction for a local nonprofit. We had no idea that this gem was so close to us! The room was beautiful with lots of special touches and creative decor. Bed was comfortable. The wood beams in the room added to the character. Comfortable sitting area, rose on the bed with chocolates and turn down service. Nice toiletries included. We also had dinner at John J Jeffries, which is connected to the hotel, and it was delicious. Great place to celebrate a special occasion or a convenient place to stay if you want to visit Lancaster City. Highly recommend!

We went here on a wedding Anniversary on February 7 th and stayed the weekend..nice room and I love the exposed 🧱. The staff was friendly except for a lady named Natalie whom I encountered on our check in. The location was good, Alot of place to go shopping. The drawing of your own picture was fun, there was tons of drawlings on the halls walls and nice paintings and cool furniture.

Positive: Unique style built from tobacco building. Free use of YMCA across the street. Negative: Room and bed were small for studio queen. No drawers for storing clothes. Breakfast could have been better for price/quality.

We booked at the Lancaster Arts Hotel for a wedding weekend. Guests stayed with us who traveled from all over the US and even Portugal. It was a great stay. The staff and the service and the accommodations were all top notch. Our wedding party guests were all so happy with this hotel. Everyone loved the art vibe and guests had so much fun with the sketch pads that were in their rooms, ready for their renditions of the wedding, each other and beautiful Lancaster in the Fall. It was an extra "party favor" for them and we had such a comfortable stay. We loved the continental breakfast with the elevated choices for protein, breads, sweets and fruit. The outdoor patio was picture perfect for an early morning coffee and scone! Not to mention the attached restaurant, John J. Jeffries. Talk about great food- I can’t say enough. And service- absolutely impeccable. We booked our rehearsal dinner in this lovely place. We all expect more when we spend hard earned money these days and this wonderful restaurant and hotel deliver.

We hosted a women's retreat at Lancaster Arts Hotel from October 1–4, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The front desk staff greeted us with genuine warmth and made every guest feel welcome and cared for. A huge thank-you to Deirdre, the Director of Sales, who coordinated our meeting space and catering with incredible professionalism and heart. The meals from Simply from Scratch were delicious, and every detail of our event was handled with care. The rooms themselves were stunning—each one uniquely designed with artistic flair and thoughtful touches that made our stay feel special. It’s rare to find a hotel that blends comfort, creativity, and charm so seamlessly. If you're planning a retreat, event, or just looking for a boutique hotel with soul, Lancaster Arts Hotel is a true gem. We’re so grateful for their hospitality and will return again!

Convenient location - You can enjoy a night in town and not be overwhelmed by the thought of the long trip back to your room. Also, there is a meadery within walking distance on one side, and a donut shop on the other. Rooms are comfortable and cozy, almost cocoon - like. Staff is very amiable , from the front of house to the back. Coffee in the breakfast room is worth coming down for.

I'm a Lancaster native and I LOVE Lancaster Arts Hotel! My partner and I take a "staycation" a few times a year to mix things up and get a different perspective of our favorite city. We love the suites with whirlpool tub and always bring face masks and spa essentials for a fun spa date night. The rooms are always well appointed & clean... and the turndown service with a rose is a very romantic touch! Also, carrying Lancaster County Coffee roasters means I know I have a well made cup of coffee waiting in the morning (essential). Highly recommend LAH to my local friends and family for a restful local date idea!
