The Sire Hotel Lexington, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Great location and beautiful room.

Our experience was very different from that of other reviewers. We were greeted the minute we walked through the door about 9:30 p.m. and graciously taken through the registration process. The amenities of the hotel (free breakfast, parking fees, workout room) were explained clearly. We had a two room suite which was very spacious and surprisingly quiet given our second floor room and the downtown location. Everything was clean and well cared for. My one complaint is that not everything was restocked every day and the ice bucket was never cleaned in 4 days, but I always quickly received anything I requested. The location is fantastic. We walked everywhere downtown and were also able to get in and out of town for other touring easily. I would definitely stay at The Shire again.

My wife and I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the hotel. The building is historic but feels modern at the same time. Guests do have to pay extra for parking, but that’s understandable for a downtown location. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was luxurious. Breakfast was fantastic.||The only two negatives were minor: the app wouldn’t open our door, so I had to get a key made — not a big deal. The only issue that really affected our experience was that most of the TV channels wouldn’t come in, which I assume was a signal problem.

The location is fantastic, convenient to dining and entertainment, within walking distance to most. The stay would have been amazing, however there was no hot water in our room. We let the shower run for over 30 minutes at the advice of the front desk and it never got above room temperature.

A historic piece of Lexington with modern upgrades, but still keeps the touches that make the building interesting. Brandon at the front desk was very welcoming and courteous. The property is well kept and at night there is a nice seating area outside with a fire going. There is a nice bar inside with a comfortable seating area. Breakfast in the morning was nice, hot and cold options a plenty. The room had plenty of space and all the typical amenities. Nice bed. Really nice shower. Only two issues. First, (which was not a big deal because Brandon made me a physical key) I could not get my phone to unlock the door. No biggie. The other issue is that over half the channels on the TV did not work and it seemed to be a signal issue. Just logged onto netflix and used that. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Something that might bothers some visitors is that you have pay $11 to park, its downtown though so that is to be expected.

We had a great time with this hotel, very clean, easy to get into and out of. The parking is right around the corner. The breakfast was also really good tons to choose from and they have a cool bar inside the hotel! We were greeted by Adrielle, she was real nice! We had a problem with our TV in our room, and she quickly wanted to switch us to another room or even a suite to make us happy! We heard the hotel was a little bit haunted, and we may, or may not have heard or seen a ghost! If we’re in the area, we will be back!

We had a lovely visit in Lexington at The Sire. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and well appointed. The designated parking lot is close by with abundant spaces. We're sure to visit again!
