Holiday Inn Express Lynchburg by IHG

This is the nicest Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed at! Clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly from the point of first contact. I don't normally eat the breakfasts at hotels that are not 5 star hotels but this hotel actually had a decent breakfast for the price point of the hotel and a great coffee station as well. The rooms are not big but the beds are comfortable and the heating & A/C work great. WIFI works great too. I am a Marriott guy typically but I will be staying at this hotel for future stays in Lynchburg for sure. Great job by the ownership and management of this hotel. See you again in the future!

We’ve stayed here twice and each time it has been very comfortable for our family visiting our daughter at liberty University. The service is very friendly and outstanding. The rooms are very clean and comfortable! The breakfast is delicious and the service dude in the breakfast area was SOO helpful. We will definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it.

The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean, the breakfast was awful, got boiled eggs with some turkey sausage, brought it to my room, boiled egg had a hair wrapped around it and the sausage was dry and overcooked. I didn't eat it. Though I did appreciate all the individually wrapped fruit and bread items. Coming from Wards road is confusing as there are 3 turn in options, not the hotels fault. The young lady working the front desk that evening was spectacular! She was pleasant, helpful, helped me open my bottle of wine Elevator is slooooow... Overall really decent stay, except for breakfast

Great stopover, clean rooms, great water pressure for showers and a decent breakfast to get the day going. Staff was helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in the area.

Stayed here for an event at Liberty. They didn’t provide housekeeping services each day - only the first day of our stay. Sometimes they took out the trash but they didn’t make beds. We never got fresh towels. The second day of our stay I had to go request towels at the desk. On the third day we did not get towels either. When I went to the desk to request them they said they had none and could not provide any towels at all because all the towels were dirty. I called from the room to see if I could speak with someone else and they told me there was no manager on duty who could help me, and they could not give me towels until the next morning (which was when we were leaving). We planned to shower at night after walking around campus all day so we needed towels that evening. My husband called from another state to see if he could help with the situation and magically clean towels appeared at my door within 5 minutes. I’m not sure why the front desk staff would not give me some clean towels which were clearly available. I don’t know why they didn’t collect the dirty towels left in a pile near the bathroom door which clearly indicated that we needed new towels. I don’t understand why they would assist my husband but not me when I asked politely for towels. I’m also surprised and frustrated that the staff were dishonest (or completely uninformed and/or unwilling to take time to check on the status of clean towels). I’m sure we’ll be back to visit Liberty but we’ll explore some of the other hotel options in town.

Chloe L and Kelly behind the bar saved the night. Chloe got my entire group of 13 walk ins checked in and ensured we were all bunked together. They also dealt with a party that got out of hand professionally and promptly, which was astounding and also impressive. Kelly is an amazing waitress and bartender. She kept us engaged the entire time we sat at the bar and ensured our food was cooked to perfection and correct for a rather large group of people. All in all these two above all made the stay worthwhile enjoyable and painless. They deserve positions of higher responsibility immediately!!
