The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect close to everything and so convenient. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. We especially loved the amenities, particularly the pool and sauna. The shuttle service was a fantastic bonus and made getting around so easy. Dan was incredibly attentive and gave us great recommendations! We’re already looking forward to returning.

Positive: The rooms look nice but there are issues with plumbing and there was no running water for a period of time, then only cold water with brown sediment. Negative: A pipe burst, resulting in dark brown water for an entire day, they couldn’t give me a refund. They recommended that my son & I shower in, and drink, the brown water, insisting it was not harmful. I had to go out to buy water to drink and wash my hair.

I was overall pretty happy with this hotel, the folks working there are wonderful and it is in a great location. My only concern was that I picked it hoping for a view of the capital building and I got to look at an abandoned building instead. I didn’t really take that into consideration and I was there for an extended stay. I learned towards the end that I should have requested a room with a capital view. Also, housekeeping is every other day so that is something to take into consideration. For a microwave, you have to request one. I missed doing this and just went to the shared one by the pool but found that odd. The queen room is perfect for one traveler, but if you are a couple I would not stay there unless you really want to test your relationship! Overall, I would stay again for a short trip.

The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club is a great option if you want to stay right in the heart of downtown Madison with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. The location alone makes this hotel worth considering, especially if you plan to explore the Capitol area on foot. The building has a classic, upscale feel while still being comfortable and welcoming. The lobby is spacious and well maintained, and check-in was smooth and efficient. Staff were professional, friendly, and helpful whenever questions came up. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a nice layout and plenty of space to relax. The bed was comfortable, and the overall environment felt calm and well cared for. The Governor’s Club adds an extra touch of convenience with complimentary snacks, beverages, and breakfast options, which is a nice perk. Having access to an on-site pool and restaurant also makes the stay more convenient, especially after a long day. Overall, this hotel offers a solid balance of comfort, location, and value. I would definitely recommend it for business trips, weekend getaways, or anyone wanting to stay downtown.

Our stay here was great, hotels location is so close to everything. Short walk to Capitol if you plan on going there. The room was perfect. Didn't utilize the pool or hot tub but they both were decently sized. We did visit the bar and everything we ordered there was more then perfect. Food was great, drinks were top notch. They make a great whisky sour according to the fiancé.

We had a great stay, the room was very comfortable and clean. We stayed on the concourse level which I think is well worth it. The included breakfast, snacks, and drinks are all really good and a fun feature of the stay. The staff was very efficient and friendly. I do have a couple points of feedback but they are minor. When checking in, the guy at the front desk wasn't very friendly and was rather short. That said he was quick and accurate in his job. The other thing is the tv in the room was incredibly old. To the point there wasn't a USB port to attach our Roku. Both minor, the stay was fantastic!

Sadly said that i have to write this review. The location is great. I did mention when i booked the hotel that i would love to have a room with Capitol View. I have been waiting for an hour and same response that the room was not ready. I even asked the receptionist to check with the housekeeping. And i also asked the receptionist what reviews that i should leave for the service on Google Review and Booking. He gave me straight answer "whatever reviews that you would like to leave!" Is that a good service? I have not had any experience like that before. This my first trip to Madison and definitely not a comeback to stay in this hotel.
