Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham McAllen

I would give my stay at this Hotel 5 stars, but there are two things that would really help change this review. 1. The washers and dryers are old and dated, which causes clean laundry to not smell so clean. 2. With Breakfast being the only meal offered I would recommend having more of a variety on a daily basis, sort of like a buffet style breakfast and not serving certain items you would typically see on a lunch menu.

The hotel was very clean from the lobby to our room. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite with a small kitchen which included a small table to eat on. The staff was friendly which made checking in quick and easy. We did the early check since we arrived into town a few hours before check in. We were able to check out online so no waiting at the front desk. I liked the location which was near several restaurants so no issue finding somewhere to eat.

Nice staff! Pleasant guests. Comfy beds, relaxing rooms! I felt at home, safe and comfortable. Location is great for all things, food, entertainment and shopping!! I would definitely stay here again!

Great amenities. The pool and room were very clean. Room we stayed in comfortably fit 5 adults. Breakfast with strong coffee. Restaurants around the hotel as well. The hotel also has a nice minigolf, which was a fun addition to our stay. I also noticed it had a chair in the whirlpool for people with disabilities. And three grills available for a cookout. 10 out of 10.

I would've rate it a 5 star but it happens to be your bar lounge was closed of all of days I choose to stay here, hopefully next time I come back it will be open but other than that everything was great.

Very clean and spacious room, nice design and excellent bathroom/shower set up. The AC was strong, and the walls were very sound proof. Bed was comfortable and staff was generous with pillows and towels. We were delighted to stay here for a week.| Driving to the best TexMex restaurants was 2-5 miles—easy. Some restaurants were walking distance but mostly those were chains

Big rooms, so so cleanliness. Good internet connection. Very poor breakfast service. Breakfast bar was almost empty: One slice of bread, no fruit, poorly presented cereals, yoghurt fridge empty, no milk, orange juice empty. Hash browns and patties not enough for the crowd. No maple syrup for the waffles, oh well…the lady was counting every item that the guests asked for. Definitely quite a bad experience having to beg for the food.
