Staff was very personable and helpful. Key cards worked correctly. Room was clean. Extra towels were provided. Room was quiet. TV worked efficiently. AC worked well, thermostat and fan. This was an accessible room, and the bathroom was large enough and had plenty of safety bars. I did not get up for breakfast, so I can't comment.

This hotel felt safe, and I had no concerns as a single woman traveling with my dog. The room was fairly clean, though I did notice a few things: there was hair on the towels, the in-room coffee items had been opened and previously used, and there was a random bottle of Topo Chico left behind. None of it was a major issue, but worth noting. The room itself was comfortable. The beds were great, there were no odd smells, and it did not smell like dogs, which I appreciated. Some wallpaper is peeling and a few floor stains appear to be from previous guests, but overall the room was clean and pleasant. Be careful with the shower because it is slippery, but they do provide floor mats, so definitely use them. There is also a small bar downstairs that seems to offer beer and wine, although it isn’t open consistently. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and I would visit again.

Subject: Extremely Disappointing Experience at La Quinta by Wyndham – McAllen, TX||I recently stayed at your property located at 1120 South 10th Street, McAllen, TX 78501, and had an extremely unpleasant experience with your front desk associate, Deidra.||I have stayed at this location before and never encountered such poor treatment. Upon arrival, I discovered that my room was not properly cleaned and had no clean towels. When I approached the front desk for assistance, I waited approximately 15 minutes before being acknowledged by Deidra. Her attitude was unprofessional, and she displayed zero customer service skills.||Instead of resolving the issue, she spoke back to me regarding the towels in a rude and dismissive manner. This behavior is unacceptable for someone in a customer-facing role. I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by this interaction and will avoid staying at this property in the future.

I’ve stayed here twice and really love how pet friendly they are. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the area is generally very safe. There is also a bar inside the hotel which is a plus. I would give this 5 stars but both times that I’ve gone my room has not been 100% clean, a lot of surface areas, such as the desk and end tables, were dusty and looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

Horrible experience, we only stayed maybe 30 minutes-1hr before we left and booked another hotel. The first room that we were assigned had a disgusting odor in the bathroom, the lady working at the desk offered to spray the room to see if that would help with the smell and it did not. The second room we were assigned had sheets with stains and hair everywhere around the room. I was told that I couldn’t get a refund, and that I could leave and the housekeeping supervisor the next day would inspect the rooms and then decide if I should have a refund. I emailed the manager, which didn’t go through, the pictures that I told them I had taken. Needless to say, I received a refund and won’t be booking again!

Excellent service. Room was very clean. You didn't have to fold our own blankets we brought from home home but Thank you! Definitely will stay here again
