Extremely disappointed with our experience. We had a room booked a week in advance and arrived expecting everything to be ready, only to be told our room was not prepared. We waited three hours in the lobby with no clear timeline and very little communication, and the room still wasn’t ready. To make matters worse, they attempted to assign us a queen room even though we specifically booked and confirmed a king. It wasn’t acknowledged until I caught the mistake myself. While waiting, we witnessed several other guests come down to complain about their air conditioning not working. The response from staff was essentially to turn the unit off and deal with it because there was nothing that could be done at the moment. That was very concerning, especially given how warm it’s been. After hours of waiting and seeing how other guest concerns were handled, we ultimately decided to cancel and book elsewhere. The entire situation lacked professionalism, preparation, and basic customer service. Very frustrating experience overall.
Ooof where to even start. Stayed here for the St Jude marathon weekend. Paid over $300 a night and let me tell you this place isn’t worth $50 a night. It’s like they knew they had a great location for this weekend so that was all they were providing. Rude front desk staff was our first experience as we walked in. A roach in our room, barely warm water in the shower, a broken coffee pot in the room. To top it all off the bar/ restaurant was closed the entire time. When we asked about it the front desk staff said "It won’t be opening at all". That was a loss on their end as the hotel was full of people there for the race. Although the location is great for the race weekend it is not enough to make me want to stay again next year! There are plenty of other hotels nearby that would love to get our business!
This hotel is gross. Our bed had a big stain on the comforter, when we asked for another they brought up a thin cheap blanket instead. There is water damage on the wall under a sprinkler, mold has to be growing behind the pealing paint. Bath room was dirty. Extremely disappointed in our room. No hot water either. Run away from this place. Seriously gross
Our group stayed here recently. Several members did not have working heat or hot water in their rooms. We were fortunate both worked in ours, though the heat sounded like a jet engine when it turned on. And half the water leaked down the back of the shower head instead of spraying out the way its supposed to. One member of our group had water leaking from the ceiling in their bathroom onto their towels. Speaking of towels, definitely bring your own if you stay here. We got 2 bath towels for 4 adults in our room. The front desk and housekeeping refused to give us enough for us each to have one. The good news is, this hotel is close to everything so it was fairly easy to avoid our room.
The main reason for zero star is, they charge me a parking fee even though I did not park there. I had stayed there for four nights in November and after check out they charge me an additional $136 of parking and city fees later when I call them, they say it’s a parking charge and it ischarge by third party which they don’t have control over. My question is I never gave my credit card info to any valet parking third-party. All it was my card info on file at holiday inn account. How come the third party (valet parking) able to charge my card on file without the hotel management involvement. I believe it’s a scam, parking company is doing with the help of hotel staff. Remember I never parked at hotel. I had called they few times and was told they will get back to me bust guess what no call back. I like to stay at Holiday Inn because I like them but after this incident, I’m gonna choose a different hotel next time when I’m I have to say night somewhere Room was bit smelly like they been closed for long time with no air. Thank you holiday inn for not helping me.
Got to the hotel to be told the aircon isn’t working, offered a refund but we had nowhere else to go. No bathroom amenities (no soap, no shower gel, no shampoo gave us the last of the conditioner and lotion). Our room was 90 degrees the entire stay and was unliveable, we had to go down to the lobby to cool down. Only good thing was the staff were nice and that we had one of the only working ice machines by our room so we could use that to cool down.
Here’s a polished, clear, and professional We visited Memphis and chose this hotel because it was close to the places we planned to see. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. There was a noticeable odor of marijuana in the lobby, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was poor. Our room did not appear clean, the bathroom had water stains under the toilet, and the sink was dirty. We also had an issue with the hot water it took more than 10 minutes of running the faucet before it warmed up. Because of these conditions, we decided to move our stay to the Holiday Inn Medical Center. That hotel was significantly better much cleaner, with excellent customer service.
